Advice Looking for apprentice or trainee for carpentry jobs in the house

I have a few carpentry jobs in the house such as sanding, minor router work, some cutting and assembly, applying top coats, painting wood work etc. List goes on and is piling up. Nothing too complex.

All materials and tools are available with me.

I don't have the time or energy to get things done and might as well give it to a student and will pay them a decent wage for sure. They can gain experience and if need be I can endorse and provide feedback /reference.

How do I go about looking for one? Should I contact training schools or advertise somewhere?

I would say advertise it online rather than contacting schools

See who actually uses initiative to apply rather than the schools who will ship you an apprentice they already have.

If they don't apply definitely contact schools/ collages

If you've got a technical college (or modern equivalent) near you then go in and ask a tutor to ask them.

But you are asking for two totally different trades.

You need a decorator and a carpenter mate. No one is going to come and do a few odd jobs unless they are desperate for a specific portfolio filler or you can offer regular paid work

Understood. I'll ask for a specific skill.
