led screen visuals
hey guys! soooo have a question - got signed up for a gig w an led panel mesuring 9x12ft.
this is my first time working on something thats asks me to bring up visuals for a gig.
any of u guys got some recos?
- a “generic” visual that isnt time coded / visuals to ur set?
- software / application that reacts to what ur playing?
- time coded / sync visuals?

Look for a VJ in your area. You'll be busy, and automated visuals will get boring quickly.

I use FL Studio ZGameEditor. It reacts to the music I feed into it through my interface.

Just turn it off and focus on the music instead.

yeah. collective is asking each dj to put in visuals that would compliment our set - so as someone who works w different collectives, would want to do them good too…

What do they mean exactly? Usually there's one VJ and DJs can send some logos or a few short clips for example. It's not really logical for each DJ to be their own VJ at the same time.

ok ok - so yeah just checked w them. the collective has their own vj, and 2 other dj in the lineup has a vj as well. so will probably reach out for one and work with them =)

No offense but if you are asking these sorts of questions then timecode is definitely way above you. The reason why you really only see timecoded sets done with big names is because it neither cheap nor easy. To do it right will require hours of preparation work and a small team to run things during the show. Its not a press a magical button and get perfectly synced visuals.
