Hey everyone!

I'm moving from Hurghada to Dahab in early November and planning to stay long term.

For the first month, I'm thinking of renting through Airbnb for around $600. After that, I'd like to find a long-term apartment by asking local doormen (bawwabs), with a budget of around $700/month.

So far, the places I've found on Airbnb seem much worse than what I could get for the same money here in Hurghada. But I understand that Airbnb prices are often inflated, and many listings are managed by people subletting apartments rather than the actual owners.

Hopefully, I can find something nice with a beautiful sea or mountain view for that price :)

I'd really appreciate some advice:

1. Which neighborhoods would you recommend? I'm looking for somewhere safe, comfortable, not too noisy, and with basic shops and services nearby.
2. Am I right that Talabat and Uber aren't available in Dahab?

Hi everyone!
I’m hoping to visit Dahab for a week in early February, but I’m a little unsure about the weather. The forecasts show temperatures around 20°C, but suggest it can feel much colder because of the wind.
I’d love to spend at least a day relaxing by the sea, on the beach, so I’m wondering whether there are any sheltered beaches or spots where you can comfortably sunbathe at that time of year.
For anyone who’s visited Dahab in February or lives there, what was your experience of the weather? Is it warm enough to enjoy some beach time, or does the wind make it too chilly?
I’d also love any recommendations or tips for visiting Dahab in February. Thanks!

I am currently chasing an $80 refund, and despite sending countless emails, I am still getting nowhere.

Honestly, it feels like they are just dragging this out and hoping I will eventually give up and let them keep my money.

I even opened a dispute with my bank, but it was rejected because the hostel classified as non-refundable when it wasn’t . They are even ignoring Hostelworld support and they will be removed soon from there( see the screenshots )

I would not wish this headache on anyone. I am still waiting for my money, and the complete lack of accountability is absolutely unacceptable.

Please reconsider before booking.

Please suggest cafes/bars to swim and hang out in.

Is it safe to go to Dahab with laptop and sleep in a dorm? also what will be the best place and activities for meeting new people and socializing if I am going alone for a week?

I checked booking and I am confused about, Rafiki, Nomads, Bedouin, or others..

also is there good coworking space or another camp you might suggest with sea view and direct beach access?

Just wondering what the done thing is regarding snorkel gear and wetsuit rentals. we are planning on snorkeling every day, so is it a good idea to rent gear and wetsuit for the whole week? Is a wetsuit a good idea for late November? What is a good price for a weeklong rental? Thanks for the help!

Hi, I’m looking to go ro Dahab next month. I don’t have too much money so not sure if I can afford diving but I love snorkel ins. I’ve been before to happy life village hotel and was impressed with the reef. Now ecotel seems to have a good price too. If only going by the house reef would recommend Ecotel? How do themes compare?

اخر مرة رحت دهب كانت من ٣ سنين، ف عايز اعرف ايه الكامبات او الفنادق الكويسة، الرحلات ايه نظامها، لو حد عنده اقتراحات لحاجات تتعمل هناك

عاوز اطلع دهب اسبوع, تنصحوني اروح فين مكان يبقى بحر بس سهل اروح الممشى برده ويبقى فيه رحلة او اتنين ويبقى الدنيا هادية ورايقة

و انا بغطس لاقيت سلسلة فضة في اللاجونا مش بعيد اوي عن الشط. لو بتاعة حد هنا و ضاعت منه في المنطقة دي بالتقريب يبعتلي وصف ليها و نتقابل اديهاله.
