I did Google it. Apparently this is the second house structure that exploded in recent years in Gallatin, TN. One exploded in June 2025 and another earlier this week.
Almost as if those making the posts should be the ones to provide the context/sources. Requiring everyone else to do so is what leads to potential confusion/misinformation
Whoever's idea it was to make social media reward engagement and not reception should suffer. It was a shitty concept that has had an overwhelmingly negative impact on society because now ragebait is a thing.
A different link had a minimal explosion without having to watch the video:
No injuries were reported. The Gallatin Fire Chief said the homeowner had medical equipment on the property where the fire started, and several oxygen cylinders exploded from the flames.
Pure oxygen is reasonably easy to handle safely, but it is a fucking menace.
Wow I've never seen A gun commercial in my life. But I guess probably not everyone got a ruger commercial before the video.
Edit: after reading about all the commercials you guys got it kind of seems like none of the commercials pertain to the people who got them. Which is really weird. I have exactly zero guns and all I ever had was a pellet gun well I guess I still have it but it doesn't pump up anymore. What is also weird is I was the top Marksman for three different camps I went as a child. I just always spent my money on music.
I run adblock and don't watch live tv and its always jarring for me when I see ads like that or I visit the parents and see political commercials on TV. Sometimes I wonder what propaganda messages I'm missing out on. Of course I just get hit with bot propaganda online instead.
I'm in the same boat. I've spent a lot of time curating my devices to avoid ads so when I get hit with them at other places I'm just like "oh. That was disturbing."
I went to my regular fill up spot and they just upgraded their pumps. Ads started playing and making noise at me when I started pumping and it startled the shit out of me.
I enjoy watching that rather monotone lady comedian from Moldova that just says shit with a very straight face and never laughs or smiles or well anything's. More Americans need to hire lawyers from moldova apparently. Or wait are you not an American? Do other countries use Facebook? Do I know anything at all? Do
The typical viewer of WSMV lives in the Nashville-Atlanta corridor. Visiting their site signals to the ad service that you may be a local, and they serve up whatever ad has paid for that demographic.
Video ads usually aren't very heavily optimized, because they return poor website action results anyways- so they're usually just focused on higher completion rates. That kind of thing doesn't really matter with geography, it's up to the person setting up the campaign to assign the proper geo, which they did not.
In the Metro Detroit area one local news site will almost always have an ad pop up for Ted's Coney Island restaurant on stories about horrifically violent crimes. I fail to see the connection and find it bizarre that anyone would advertise food next to murder and rape.
The headline: "Car full of dead clowns found burning by river, Police suspect foul play"
Edit: Everyone replied to the same comment so I had to work with what I had. Unfortunately I think this comment will be above the other "I got a" comments.
Oh I was super proud of myself for doing it. But I still didn't get them all. So I take it you are an amazing shot as well or were and just don't have any guns? Mine started because I wasn't even allowed to have a BB gun as a kid because of my mom. And I can't now because I used weed to help ease my back pain when the state said it was not the time to do it yet.
The disconnect is kind of fascinating. I, a completely able bodied person who isn't taking care of anyone with mobility issues or anything, got an ad for mobility assist knee scooters.
But now you’ve just mentioned “gun” a dozen times in a Reddit comment.
So the cookies from this page (and all the other times you’ve randomly mentioned or liked/disliked or commented on anything related to guns online) has made Google (and Facebook, and everyone else gobbling up user data) think you’re into guns. So here come those firearm ads you’re “definitely” interested in!
…sigh. I hate today’s internet.
Edit: but consider Firefox with ublock origin, badger, and ghostery. No ads.
If you have ad-ID turned off, or ad privacy setup, the algorithm uses the next best fitment for identifying your targeted ads. Such as your neighbors, zip code demographics, last known IP for last known ad-ID. For example, you will see ads for nursing homes if you have been linked as a child of elderly parents who have a full ad-ID profile. You will see baby food ads if several of your neighbors have recently had babies. You will see truck sales ads in Spanish if you live in a working class neighborhood with a high % of Spanish speakers.
