MCU Charlie Cox says he's always been interested in having Daredevil and Kingpin teaming-up in the MCU:

Weirdly enough, BA would've worked for some version of that. In the comics when Fisk became mayor, Matt was his personal attorney so that he could take him down from the inside.

Before the muse debut episode of born agakn came out I really thought that when Muse entered the picture, they would've had Matt and Fisk form a reluctant temporary alliance to try and stop Muse. With each agreeing it was the last time they would indulge in their darker halves (until it wasn't)

That’s a better story than what we got with Muse, such a wasted adaption

I thought it was a great twist when Fisk just went "no." And later when Daredevil saved his life, Fisk immediately attempted to assassinate him as he lay injured.

Excellent demonstration of fact that Fisk lies to himself about good intentions and has no honor whatsoever

Yeah I kinda liked the twist but still wanted him not to flip so he can be a villain in Spider-Man. Getting defeated 3 times takes away from a movie appearance.

I genuinely think that was the original intention of Born Again. Mayor Fisk would have been an uneasy ally rather than the central antagonist.

I haven't read the Fisk becomes Mayor story, but I've read Born Again. Doesn't Fisk 100% know who Daredevil is? Why would he work with Matt?

That's extraordinarily unethical. Hopefully the story ended with Murdoch's disbarment.

Matt was deputy mayor to keep an eye on Fisk. He represented him in a much earlier story long before he was mayor in relationship to finding out about foggy death.

They did that in devil in cell block D, but for some reason they decided Matt would be ok with sending him to a beach so I guess it won’t happen in BA

I almost wonder if the exile stuff is an attempt to kinda copy how Fisk first appeared in Frank Miller’s run

matt literally gets fisk out of prison and sends him to a beach immediately after cell block d lol

It’s quite different than how it happened in BA, and in the comic Matt doesn’t really want to do it

Not really, Matt puts Fisk in prison --> Fisk released from prison due to circumstances beyond Matt's control --> Matt makes agreement with Fisk to keep him out of the country as a compromise

But no, yes, tell me why Matt would think the guy who has been shown to have gamed himself out of prison multiple times should be sent to prison AGAIN as a way of getting rid of him permanently

ben affleck’s daredevil shows up and starts throwing random trash at people around hells kitchen. even kingpin has to team up with the real daredevil to end this madness

I feel like in season 3 there'll be a reason for these guys to be fighting off others back-to-back.

In the original plans for the Netflix continuation, Bullseye was supposed to return in S5 as the main antagonist.

Maybe in BA, they could have pulled sth off like that. Bullseye as primary villain threatening both Matt and Fisk, and their loved ones. So, they team up against him.

But ig they needed to make Kingpin the main nemesis for the eonth season.

What if that's a hint for season 3..

Man I have a feeling season 3 we’ll be seeing this more likely than not

If they had both ended up in jail at the end of two, different jails at first then somehow Fisk gets moved to Matt's prison, then I would be okay with that but the way they have told this born again story I've had enough of Fisk.

Charlie wants to act with his mate though, but I wish he would let it go.

It has happened in the comics. First time, DD and Kingpin teamed up to defeat Micha Synn in Daredevil #212, 1984. Its an enemy of my enemy is my friend thing.

Honestly, them doing a team-up would’ve created interesting dynamic between the Fisk’s office scenes in presence of city hall staff /media / public, and outside the office at night

That is happened in the comics. I wish they did that and keep Kingpin be a villain in Spider-Man.

No. For the love of GOD please please move on from Kingpin already FFS!

I kind of thought Born Again was going in that direction, at least in the very early episodes. Long time hero / villain is such a time-honoured tradition and it’s always fun, so I hope they do it soon.
