Are we actually complaining about death metal lyrics now?

Death Metal lyrics have always focused on making people comfortable. You must be new here 🙄

Great sarcasm

Title made me think of a Cannibal Corpse song but this title is a bit longer and made me laugh. There should be a song called Murdered, eaten, fried, buried, frozen, eviscerated, DEAD. Just so you know someone isn't coming back.

Do the people in this comment section actually listen to death metal?

Im definitely not a huge fan of SA lyrics in extreme metal either but this comment section is wild. Its fucking death metal, cannibal corpse is one of the godfathers of this genre so there are gonna be some bands that lean into the shock shit. Song may not be a good cut but, this band is pretty great and have been at it since the 90s

It’s very odd to see the reactions from this. I think it’s the “rped” part and I’m sure if it was just the strangled dead part then no one would care.

There’s one comment talking about the lyrics. Don’t be so dramatic.

Beforer I commented it was 4 to 1 negative comments in response to the song, had to chime in to balance things out but since there have been more reasonable replies

Death metal lyrics are usually just written for shock value and don't always hold merit in reality. They're meant to be fucked up and unsettling. Where have people been all these years? It's not meant to be taken literally...

You’re reaching. You’re saying that extreme violence that most people don’t experience is fine as a subject matter because people generally don’t have to worry about that particular degree of extreme violence, but extreme sexual violence isn’t because people actually experience lesser degrees of sexual violence. Be consistent, if you wanna be literal and say “I don’t know anyone who’s had a hammer smashed face” as a rationale for being fine with it, the same would also apply to the title of this song. In any case, it’s fucking Death Metal, you’re driving 20 over the limit and crying about the guy who’s going 25 over the limit in the next lane. Go away.

There's loads of real life horror stories of people being murdered with hammers!

In fact one is on the podcast I have on in the background right, by a guy called Tom Johnson

This song is bad, not a Vomitory fan. “she Was asking for it” by cannibal corpse is a much better song.

Death metal lyrics are about the unsavory aspects of life. They’re obviously not an endorsement… you people don’t understand art

How exactly is sexual violence worse than any kind of violence? Sure, it causes a stronger emotional reaction, but objectively how is it worse?

So I like death metal, love it actually. But yeah, let people not like songs about rape

I’m tired of sexual violence in this genre, as a lot of people are. It’s not the 80/early 90s anymore it’s tired content now. The video for this song is boring too. Wow playing footage. What a lazy video. They look boring as hell playing the song too. I’m familiar with the rest of this bands music, it’s good and fine. Just yeah this track and video ain’t it.
