Dew!

I have prepped my deck and it's ready to stain. There is rain in the forecast overnight tonight. (Friday) Then we have no rain in forecast for 5 days. I plan on Tuesday stain.

However I live in Victoria BC and never really thought about the dew.

At 10am this morning half the deck is wet.

Could I cover with light plastic or a tarp and blower

I jumped in to say....I can't walk you out in the morning Dew......I need to harvest the wind from the ice I planted....

Wait until mid afternoon to stain it, and make sure it's sanded or the mill glaze was taken off. It will be fine.

This was sanded. It still has grey lines in some spots. I used a acid deck brightener.

Above suggestion is the ticket...it's not a good idea to put a tarp or plastic over it thinking it's helping....there's a lot more to it than just laying it down without the risk of doing more harm than good...

Call the manufacture of the deck stain and see what they have to say. They are the experts on their products.
