I know this is probably not true but it would explain why he ran to the UAE. Even though they are antisemitic too they like sowing discord in the west more so they give Ian a pass on being pro-Bibi

Unfortunately a former resident of my city. Someone threw a milk shake at his face, he claimed it was cemet mix. Jury refused to press charges. As much as DSA is controlling my city council, at least we get wins like this.
