I brush his teeth most days but he is due for a clean up soon any way as I’m (obviously) not the best dog hygienist. We are in the middle of brushing here so please forgive the gunk in the second picture. He keeps flinching when I run the brush over the front teeth on his right so I thought perhaps I brushed too hard at first, but then I was thinking…a couple months ago he slammed his chin on the concrete when he inexplicably leapt off of a ledge and I took him to the emergency vet. Maybe he cracked his tooth? Does it look cracked? I can’t feel anything when I gently run a little dental pick over it, and he is eating normally. He’s not one to hide pain, always comes to me for comfort.

He was licking his paw a lot, and usually it’s cause his paws are dry so we put ointment on it. When I went to put some on I noticed he had a massive lump between his toes. We have zero clue how long it’s been there. I’m the only one he lets hold his paws, he never has an issue at the vet except when they touch his paws. I’m worried. Any vets or someone know what it is or an idea?
He’s a St. Bernard, 165lbs about to turn 5, he only just started licking his paw today and no recent changes if that helps at all.

So as I've stated in my original post, she's 2 years old, I'm not sure of the breed, and she got itchy a couple weeks ago. She's maybe 10 pounds, she's a small dog and not heavy at all. There has been no changes to her diet and activity. Pictures are of the back of her head, added here since I wasn't able to in my original post.

Took him to the vet for an emergency visit this morning because one of his canines is falling out and though he's lost other teeth those were situations where he didn't show pain or anything and we didn't even know he had a tooth issue until we'd find the tooth.
This time is a very different story. For most of the day he seems fine and sleeps a lot, but for some reason come the evening when it's close to bedtime he'll start whining, vocalizing, frantically not seeming knowing what to do going from one room to the other to outside. It's absolutely breaking my heart to see him suffer like this, i too basically haven't gotten any sleep either and I'm just uttery destroyed by this. He's still full of energy and vigor and healthy except for this dental issue.
The vet took bloodwork, gave an antibiotic shot and gave us meloxicam to give him daily. When bloodwork comes back in a couple of days then we can schedule him getting probably all his teeth extracted. But that means a few more nights of watching him suffer and I'm gonna have a nervous breakdown. He seems to only eat at bedtime and maybe that is triggering thisr vocalizing pain episodes. There has to be something more I can do until we return to the vet. He takes benedryl for allergies at night which hopefully helps him settle down and I have an old trazadone prescription he was prescribed for something a few years ago so i gave him a dosage of that too. I know it won't help pain but if he can relax and sleep that would be extremely helpful. He's a 10lb chiweenie.
Anyways I guess I'm asking what can I do to alleviate the pain, his stress, and calm him down to get some sleep. I'm seriously at my wits end seeing my buddy suffer like this. Please can any give me any advice? Towards helping pain, calming him down, preventing him from going in to these extended licking his tooth. I thought maybe cdb but medical data recommends not to. Maybe I can spray a lidocaine throat numbing spray on his tooth, even a couple hours relief would be a godsend but it appears that's a bad idea. I dont know what to do. PLEASE HELP!!!

Let me know if this is the wrong flare, thank you!
Hello, obligatory posting on mobile so formatting might be weird.
Dog Info - Clementine: 12 y/o spayed Chihuahua. Healthily weighs 5lbs.
On 10/7, I took Clementine to the vet for lethargy, lack of appetite, and standard URI symptoms.
She was diagnosed with a URI, and given 10-day course of Doxycycline, Clavamox, and Entyce. She was also given injections the day of the visit. (Can't remember what specifically)
She has been steadily getting better URI symptoms wise, no longer sneezing or coughing. We're almost finished her medications, but her lack of appetite has only gotten worse.
Flash forward to today - 10/16 - she is barely eating and has lost a significant amount of weight (probably almost 2lbs). Despite giving the Entyce as instructed, she refused to even lick most food.
We found one brand of wet food she ate when trialling a bunch, we stocked up on it but now she refuses to even lick it.
Currently, to ensure she is at least getting some calories, we're giving her high-calorie gel and Cheese Curls. (Literally the only thing she is semi consistently eating.)
So, I wanted to ask if Entyce not working for some dogs is normal and if there's any food that ended up getting your senior dog to eat while sick? I wanted to get advice before I take her to the vet again.

Hi all, this is my 5 year old mutt, she’s now on her 3rd time having some weird infection on her nose.
The first time she had it was last summer and she was put on antibiotics (I can’t remember if she also had a steroid or not) and she’s all good afterwards.
This summer we moved and are with a different vet, she got the infection again, new vet gave her the same stuff as the old vet plus a steroid. This time the medication is making her pee all over my house and not be able to hold it. It’s also making her think she’s starving. A week later I go back because I am so frustrated with all the peeing everywhere. A different vet at the same office looks at her and determines that whatever it is that she has is not just affecting her nose but it’s affecting all her mucus glands. Now that’s more money out of my pocket because we’re switching medications.
We go in for a follow up and it’s determined that she needs to be on medicine for longer.
Now just two months later her nose is looking extremely rough again and I don’t know if it’s even worth it to go back to the vet.
She doesn’t act like she’s in pain but I of course don’t want her to get to the point where she is in pain.
Does anyone have any at home suggestions that might help her nose that I could try before spending nearly $1,000.00 on her nose again. I currently have another dog that has a yeast infection in his ear that he also coincidentally got at the same time as her nose issue last time, every time one of them has something the other one ends up having something wrong with them too but it’s never the same thing.

Hi.
After a week of chasing symptoms our pittie was diagnosed with meningoencephalomyelitis of unknown origin. He was treated with cytostar and steroids yesterday at the neurologist. Today he begins his course of oral prednisone. We have periodic updates we need to make to the vet, but he obviously couldn’t tell us what timelines we should expect.
My question is, if you have experienced this with your pup, after starting treatment, when did they get their coordination back? Was there a length of time you noticed things were improving?
I know there are mixed outcomes with this disease. It’s just been very difficult to find other experiences with positive outcomes.
We are under neurologist vet care. This is not an ask for treatment or vet advice, just looking for dog owners that have lived through this.
Thank you.

Our 8 1/2-year-old tripod boxer mix was just diagnosed with large cell lymphoma. It's been tough to come to grips with but I'm getting there. We're starting initial chemotherapy next week with CHOP. Our vet oncologist told us that there's a test called ImpriMed that basically will test her cancer cells against different treatments using an AI model at Stanford and determine which treatments could work best for her. He's going to start with CHOP first so it wouldn't affect that decision but he said depending on how the results turn out it could impact what we try next if chop doesn't work well or after chop when she relapses if we want to retreat her it could help us determine what next treatment to go with. The test is about $700 and we are on the fence about doing it. On the one hand the additional information could be very useful but on the other maybe sometimes too much information is not the best thing either and could cloud our judgment in making what the best decision might be for our dog and the family. Just wondering if anyone had any personal experience with this particular test and if you may suggest or recommend it. Our girl is so strong I feel like she's going to get through this but I know with cancer and chemotherapy all bets are off ..
