Just minding my own business getting roasted by a giant fire chicken and along comes this guy. I don't mind getting a pummeling but I draw the line at being used as a projectile weapon. I did take it personally

Loved them all
But I like Ulrika the most
Ulrika was the one I brought for the Sphinx riddle
But for the ending tho, it was Nadinia that the dragon took hostage
Anyway, looking forward to meeting Eir later when I start the expansion

Sorcerer was my main vocation in the first game and it's what made me fall in love with Dragon's Dogma, but after trying to do the trickster phantom challenge on sorcerer it highlighted all the things I was getting annoyed with through all of norgan. I switched back to archer and it was done within literally 4 seconds with a corkscreww arrow>explosive. Archer with tomes+special arrows is Batman they have tool for everything.
The unreliable auto target for spellcasting, the first game gave you the option for free aim.
Interrupts because the cast animations and transition animations are too long.
Lack of utility dark spells the first game had, Misama, Lassitude, petrification, and necromancy. These spells gave debuffs and staggers to allowed you to solo.
Decanter sucks and it's our only holy spell which I kept only for blackdog. Honestly if holy spells are clearly supposed to be a mage thing, dark spells should have went to sorcerers.

I've set 3 Ephemeral Keys as my Pawn Quest reward
If you're relying only on the keys obtained through normal progression and making forgeries at the Scrap Store once you've entered the Unmoored World, you won't have enough time to open all nine special weapon chests at the end of the Seafloor Sepulcher Lost Rite in a single playthrough.
For Arisen who haven't reached the Unmoored World yet, you can grab some keys now and make enough copies in advance๏ผAnd for those already in the Unmoored World, hopefully these extra keys will help you out of a tight spot. ๐ฅฐ
PSN: Nidus1858
Pawn ID: 0BLYZRRG4NDU

And my girl is just so adorable๐
She has all Pawn Badges and full Quest Knowledge, so you're more than welcome to take her along on your adventures

I love the enemy design, the only thing that frustrates me is the lack of interaction when I'm getting chain grabbed, like, at least let me parry it or let me mash all buttons to get out quicker >_<'

I always thought High Hagol was pretty disappointing due to how little damage it does (especially once enemies were frozen), so reading Grand Hagol gets a damage upgrade I was curious to try it out, and I was really pleasantly surprised.
Unfortunately the damage is not physical (tested it on a golem to make sure), but it's still pretty good, and outside of the obvious ice-themed enemies (direwolves, snow saurians, snowfoot, norgan giant, ice dragon) it even works well in the DLC. All the human enemies, the goblin/knacker knockoffs, ghouls gets decent damage on them and get slowed/frozen, making it very good for crowd control (especially with how large it's AOE is). It even works on lesser demons, and even hurts Maws/Abominations a decent amount, and the constant ticks help out Flare pretty well too. It's like a Maelstorm-lite that you can quick-cast and move while casting.

Tired of busty, harlot pawn-ladies with crazy stats always drawing you to keep one hand occupied while the other tries to dodge Satanachia?
No longer.
Meet Salem. Elvish elegance. Built like the brickiest shithouse in Vermund stat-wise. She may not dress like a sultry maiden, but I assure you, sheโll keep your attention.
Beneath that royal wardrobe is 13,725 HP, 1,802 Strength, and 1,774 Defense. She looks like sheโs attending a coronation. Unfortunately, your enemies are attending a funeral.
Her qualifications:
3,510 Stamina: Plenty of energy for prolonged disagreements.
1,287 Knockdown Resistance: Sheโll sit down when sheโs bloody well ready.
1,249 Magick Defense: Your incantation has been received and politely disregarded.
Every pawn vocation maxed: An extensive rรฉsumรฉ in applied violence.
Currently employed as a Fighter, with Calm inclination and Arcanist specialization. Ideal for the Arisen who wants a composed, regal traveling companion capable of making a deeply undignified mess of the opposition.
With a library of tomes in her inventory and flame imbued weapons, sheโs a walking fire hazard with even more hazardous intent.
Shes earned all the badges that matter and she has a penchant for ass-kickery.
Seriously, pair her with an attentive mage and sheโll flatten your enemies into a hideously undignified pile of rancorous goo.
Hire Salem and let someone else be the damsel in distress.

Sphinx- FNMYVU98F802
Loving the DLC gave us some sphinx themed items so I no longer need to use tattoos for the necklace and key, thinking about doing a snow version eventually.

How this game doesn't get the roses it deserves baffles me. The pros far outweigh any con. It is greater than the sum of its parts. It's an experience that can't be felt unless you're the one holding the controller. My GOTY 2 years too late.
