I've been wanting that Timex for a while! And more recently wanting a Taurus too. Nice kit

i was too and decided to just grab one when i saw it. if you're still on the fence, the strap is very very cheap nylon, and the face does not exactly line up with the second hand. the other hands zero well on to the hashes though when you set the time. otherwise the finish over the brass is good, and the indiglo works well. you also don't really see rated water resistance on a metal-cased watch for $30. if the strap material bothers you, you can replace it with any other cheap nato strap.

Not-a-gun guy here. What's on the top of the revolver?

red dot sight! small frame revolvers have notoriously bad sighting systems that are (usually) not very accurate.

What range would that thing be accurate to? A revolver doesn't make me think of pinpoint accuracy over a great distance...

Revolver is generally more accurate than a semi-auto.

that's actually not true with modern manufacturing practices. the lockup on semi-autos is generally more precise than the relationship between the cylinder and the forcing cone on consumer grade revolvers these days.

That really surprises me. Shows what the frig I know about pew-pews.

a couple of people said that revolvers are more accurate than semi-auto handguns, but that's not exactly true. modern semi-autos are very accurate guns. my two competition semi-autos will make single ragged holes with 10 rounds at 15 yards (13m). however, this gun will print 2-3" diameter (48-72mm) groups at 15 yards depending on what bullet is used. the accuracy standard for firearms is typically based on a 12" (30cm) circle at a given distance, which is derived from the vital zone of a deer. for this gun, that's going to be around 60 or 70 yards (50-60m), but .38 special does not have adequate energy at that distance. so, all in all, 20 yards (18m) is the effective range of this particular revolver.
