I have a bureaucratic question.

The Merkblatt for the C permit application says this:

"Der Nachweis für die Sprachkompetenzen gilt auch ohne Sprachzertifikat als erbracht, wenn die gesuchstellende Person:

...

• eine Ausbildung auf Sekundarstufe II (z.B. Lehre, Gymnasium oder Fachmittelschule) oder Tertiärstufe (z.B. Universität, Hochschule oder Fachhochschule) in Deutsch besucht."

If I submit my ETH bachelor diploma, will I cover this requirement? On the diploma it says that the languages of instruction are "vorwiegend Deutsch und Englisch". For context, I studied CS, where really only the first year was in German.

I'd like to offer private lessons in mathematics, especially first-year math courses in various faculties (math, CS, engineering, ...). I have an MSc in math and a long experience teaching university-level math (both in a class and privately, in-person and online).

Hi, i’m an italian student and I only know english and italian as languages. I would like to apply to ETH (Math Bachelor), but I need a C1 in German. I’ve just finished highschool and for the last 2 months and the next i’m studying German hoping i’ll receive the certification before the end of March. How did you manage to do this? Hi. I'm having trouble figuring out how many, and the mandatory subjects required in (I) GCE A level to be eligible for entry to undergrad courses.

My daughter is starting her AS Level this week and has selected Math, Physics, and Computer Science and will take the same in the A Level too.

In her (I)GCSE, she has studied Math, Physics, Computer Science, Chemistry, Biology, and English.

From what I understand, she is falling short of 1 subject (of the 7 subjects). Please note in the posted picture where it says "4 further subjects".

Also, is English/Foreign language mandatory at A Level?

I would like advice from people who took (I)GCE on how many subjects they had to take to gain entry to undergraduate courses without having to take the Reduced Entrance Examination.

I am going to work for 2 years as a Software Engineer and then I want to continue masters and one of my options is D-MTEC since I am really good at leadership and don't want to be a coder forever, I am extroverted and have a great set of soft skills that has been noticed by senior leadership as well.

What should I know about D-MTEC, what type of applicants are they looking for? Any alumnis here? Also, I need to get the excellence scholarship since I am a third country national which is pretty difficult. Looking for an advice

I’m a Master’s student in AI based in Germany, and I recently got a thesis opportunity at the Biomechanics Lab at ETH Zürich. I’ve been approved for a short onsite stay of about 1 month, which is really exciting.

I’ve already asked for funding, but I’m still unsure what funding options might be suitable for a short research stay like this. If anyone has experience with grants, scholarships, Erasmus+/research mobility funding, DAAD support, ETH-specific programs, or any other funding sources for short academic stays, I’d really appreciate your advice.

I'm in a dilemma and would really need some advice. I recently got an offer for a new grad swe role at a quant firm, but i also just got admitted to the cs master's program at eth Zurich.

Honestly, I dont know which route to take. The job gives me immediate industry experience and ofc great money, but eth is obviously a world-class program.

Has anyone had to make a similar choice, or does anyone have thoughts on what the best long-term move is?
