The best part is that the administration consistently says that the economy is doing great and spending is under control. And the polls say that 30% of Americans believe it.

262

u/fattyfatty 1d ago

The 30% number is somewhat interesting. In other countries, politicians that do some pretty horrible things still have about 30% support from their core constituency. I wonder if it is a number that is created naturally within the population, or if it is a target number that makes sense for the politician to target (e.g., 30% is what is needed to get elected in a bipartisan system with something like gerrymandering, so that is the cost effective number to hit)

30% of any given population are just abject morons

187

u/jellyhessman 1d ago

And to add, studies have shown there is a "authroitarian" personality type that tends to stick around 30% of any population on average.

They tend to be more religious, prefer strong man type leaders, and tend to lean right.

191

u/seeyam14 1d ago

And tend to be abject morons

52

u/falcongsr 1d ago

What did you expect? 'Welcome, sonny'? 'Make yourself at home'? 'Marry my daughter'? You've got to remember that these are just simple farmers. These are people of the land. The common clay of the new West. You know…

24

u/greenroom628 1d ago

man - that line was uttered in 1973, before I was born, and it's aged better than I have.

5

u/Windows_10-Chan 1d ago

It's one of my favorite movies to show people, if they've never heard of it I refuse to tell them what it's about lol.

The only thing that really aged somewhat poorly about it is that it's a satire of genres that are pretty much dead (spaghetti westerns & blaxploitation,) so some of it probably doesn't make as much sense if you aren't a nerd, but it's still great independent of that.

5

u/_Ocean_Machine_ 1d ago

I saw a screening of that movie in a locally-owned theater last year and 1) it fucking hilarious, goddamn, and 2) there was one guy a few rows behind me that got a little too excited whenever someone said the n-word.

57

u/SandMan3914 1d ago

Yeah, it's crazy but historically they only need about 30% to get in and steal power from there. I remember listening to an old interview years ago with Aldous Huxley and he explained it after he witnessed the rise of fascism in his lifetime, and of course his knowledge of history

Basically 30% of us actually want someone to control our lives, and think it's a good thing

51

u/Qeltar_ 1d ago

And they are usually the ones screaming "FREEDOM!" the loudest.

They don't actually want freedom. They want their group to be on top and someone "strong" to tell them what to think and what to do.

The evidence is all around us at this point.

"Tread on me daddy!"

4

u/Zorkflerp 1d ago

The right always like to reference the Puritans to suggest that the US is a Christian nation. While they did flee Europe to escape religious persecution they didn't have a problem with persecution, they just wanted to be the ones doing it to others. They did not even slightly believe in freedom of religion. They had no problem executing Quakers that did not share their beliefs.

5

u/wtfboomers 1d ago

You must live in the south ! They can’t breathe without someone telling them it’s ok.

10

u/AssCrackBanditHunter 1d ago

You start to realize why there's always a perpetual struggle between right wing and left wing even in eras where left wing politics are delivering tangible victories. Bill Clinton scandal aside, there was no reason for the country to lurch to the right in 2000 and then again in 2016, but when you have a built in 30% buffer it gets a lot easier.

As Churchill maybe said, democracy really is the worst form of government, besides all the others.

8

u/allonsyyy 1d ago

The country didn't lurch to the right in 2000, the Supreme Court put W in the seat that Al Gore won.

9

u/Cdub7791 1d ago

One of the true "what might have beens" of history. In a Gore presidency at a bare minimum we wouldn't have had John Roberts and Samuel Alito on the court. 9/11 may or may not have happened, but if it did the following war would almost certainly have remained contained mostly to Afghanistan (and Vietnam Vet Gore likely would have run the entire war differently and/or pulled us out sooner). And the changes to US climate change and energy policy go almost without saying. Not saying it would have been all sunbshine and roses, but I would bet cash money it wouldn't have ended with Trump in office.

1

u/upstateduck 1d ago

not inaccurate [also not mine] to say that if Clinton/Gore would have addressed/co-opted Perot supporters ['92-,'96] we would have been on the trajectory you describe. I wouldn't be surprised to find the MAGA/Perot supporter venn diagram to be a circle

4

u/Windows_10-Chan 1d ago

Absolutely not, Perot voters were mostly middle and upper class taken from across the spectrum, but with moderate independents overrepresented. MAGA voters are mostly right-wing voters low-education voters who had often previously not been voting due to disillusion with "cuckservatism" to put it lightly.

Perot also, asides from his very bad populism, had a very different appeal from Trump. Perot actually was an intelligent and upstanding person who came up from a modest upbringing and marketed himself on that basis.

I mean in 1992 the idea of rhe GOP having a house majority was crazy. Clinton beat Dole pretty handily
in 1996. At best you can claim Gore should have won Florida by some incredibly small margin of votes depending on which one of like 8 vote counting methods were chosen.

There was definitely a shift rightward. Clinton embracing the crime bill, welfare reform, deregulating the financial industry setting table for housing crash.

I agree Gore doesn’t have an Iraq war fixation. But I don’t see how he goes into afghanistan any differently or with fewer men.

Obviously Clinton did take Bin Laden seriously and was accused of wagging the dog- there was a stupid movie- when he took a go at him. But the Cole, the embassies etc had all happened and were pretty huge news. The Fox Broadcasters and I believe CNBC both surmised al Qaeda was likely culprit very early on the morning 9/11.

There were tons of warnings and people were on alert. They just failed the old “intentions versus capabilities” thought exercise.

4

u/allonsyyy 1d ago

No homie, you need to look into the 2000 election more. The fucked up butterfly ballots that had everybody voting for Buchanan when they meant Gore, the Brooks Brother's riot (starring Ted Cruz!). Gore won Florida, they stopped the recount early because of blatant corruption.

Media organizations later analyzed the ballots and found that, under specified criteria, the original limited recount of undervotes in several large counties would have resulted in a Bush victory, but according to the Florida Ballot Project, a statewide recount would have shown that Gore received the most votes. Florida later retired the punch-card voting machines that produced the ballots disputed in the case.[6][7][8]

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bush_v._Gore

You can call third way Democrats like Clinton right wing, I won't argue with you about that. But we were talking about the 2000 election. Voters didn't 'lurch right' in 2000, Republicans stole the election.

2

u/StunningCloud9184 7h ago

I mean putting the margin within a couple hundred votes in a state of a multiple millions is pretty much a lurch right.

1

u/082426grateful 9h ago

Rush Limbaugh becoming a household name and using the biggest form of media at that time (the 90’s, tv) had a large part to play in America dividing so sharply right vs left.

1

u/GordsHuman 3h ago

"except for all those other forms that have been tried"

0

u/birddit 1d ago

no reason for the country to lurch to the right

I think NAFTA and the US government's encouragement of manufacturing movement to points south caused the stock market boom and the dissatisfaction of rank and file workers. The powers that be were mistaking a rising stock market with an economy that worked for the little people.

2

u/Multivehje 1d ago

Yes, but this danger only exists in two party system (FPTP voting). And with good education this population tends to be a bit lower. These people are everywhere but in countries with multi party system they don’t tend to high jack the government. Americans should demand change in voting system if they want to solve this long term.

And yes, it can happen in multi party system also, like in Germany and Hungary.

17

u/SemichiSam 1d ago

It "only exists in two party system."

"It can happen in multi party system also."

Say what?

1

u/StunningCloud9184 7h ago

I mean we are seeing rightward lurch worldwide as authoritarians gain power. The EU is barely holding them back. Look at brazil.

14

u/deeceeo 1d ago

Unlike Trump, who leans forward

3

u/greenroom628 1d ago

i dunno, lately, he's been drooping more to the right now. haven't you seen him napping?

18

u/Sad-Bell8187 1d ago

Also correct. What’s the stat with Hitler, maybe around 20-25% still supported him in Germany despite millions dead and the country was a blasted ruin?

3

u/Cdub7791 1d ago

Arguably worse than that:

In 1946 the average figure for the number of persons who felt that National Socialism was a good idea badly carried out was 40 per cent. In 1947 it had risen to 52 per cent and by 1948 it was 55.5 per cent. Given the choice between a communist and National Socialist government, the trend was from neither to National Socialism: In November 1946, 17 per cent selected National Socialism; in February 1949, 43 per cent preferred it, as against two per cent for communism. During this period the "neither" vote dropped from 66 per cent to 52 per cent.

From what I understand it has to do with growing up with narcissistic authoritarian parents. They feel safe with what is familiar to them, even if it's a pile of lies.

8

u/EndersGame 1d ago

My theory is they prefer authoritarianism and fascism because they are morons and are at a disadvantage in a meritocracy. They prefer a system where you get ahead by being born the right race or following the right religion or being on the right team. They like a system where you can cheat to get ahead. They like corruption. They embrace fascism.

If 30% of a country are morons, it follows that just about that same 30% are going to lean to the right and prefer authoritarianism. They are also insecure, especially about things they don't understand, and like being told what to think or how to act. Religion is comforting to them and so is strong man leadership.

1

u/isigneduptomake1post 1d ago

What are these people like in Nordic countries? Do they hate the system, or are they the 'right' version of their system, which would still be far left of ours?

Put simply, is it just a rubber band pulling from wherever the pole is set in the ground in the system you were raised in?

1

u/exmachina64 1d ago

I’m sorry to tell you this, but there’s not much difference between conservatives in Nordic countries and the U.S. They campaign on xenophobia, get into power, and work to dismantle the social safety net.

14

u/aust_b 1d ago

Sigh, insert George Carlin quote here:

“Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that"

5

u/lopix 1d ago

Same number support our idjit Maple MAGA here in Canada.

4

u/dust4ngel 1d ago

30% of any given population are just abject morons

imagine being below 30th percentile for intelligence

4

u/Zorkflerp 1d ago

While the typical MAGA seems to fall below about the 85 IQ level, the 30th percentile, that is not precisely correct. There are a small percentage of intelligent Republicans that are simply evil people. Stephen Miller is an example, the problem with him isn't that he is dumb, he is just a horrible person.

-5

u/growaway9172 1d ago

They are not simply evil at all. They simply have different values and priorities than you, and that doesn't make someone evil. If it does, then you are equally evil, because to them, what you want is evil.

2

u/SprungMS 23h ago

That’s a really bad take when the people in charge are actively robbing the population for personal profit.

1

u/Retire_Trade_3007 22h ago

Uhm. Stephen Miller absolutely wants non whites removed from his country. I’d call that evil

3

u/Any_Sale2030 20h ago

Specifically IQ of 90 or less.  75 is defined as a moron.  A moron is basically unable to function normally in a society and care for themselves .  So a lot of people above a moron but significantly below average.  In other words somewhat functional.  Easily persuaded by malevolent actors.

2

u/OffalSmorgasbord 1d ago

And they will be silent until Kevin Hassett gives them lines to parrot. That dude is creepy and weird.

2

u/TimSylvester_ 1d ago

Isn't that essentially equivalent to the integration of the left side 2nd and 3rd standard deviation?

2

u/absat41 1d ago

31% of any given countries folk are moronic. Update.

1

u/TWIT_TWAT 1d ago

And they reproduce like rabbits

1

u/ZestyTako 1d ago

Morons or amoral

1

u/amilo111 1d ago

Only 30%?

1

u/mrpickles 1d ago

But you would think even morons don't pick the absolute worst choice every time, right? It would almost imply a "reverse intelligence" Wouldn't it be more random?

2

u/jofijk 22h ago

I think it’s because a huge portion of the country is made up of single issue voters. And usually the worst candidate is the one that’s most gung-ho about all of the issues that the single issue voter cares about

1

u/Rattfink45 1d ago edited 23h ago

So, as an American one of the things we deal with is most of the electorate falls into this category one way or the other, not voting or not caring enough to follow; the real work, issue work, really only reaches the 17% of Americans that care enough to research but won’t vote full ticket either way.

1

u/HugeHungryHippo 9h ago

There’s always 50% of the population on the left half of the IQ curve

37

u/Qeltar_ 1d ago edited 1d ago

Interestingly, it's roughly the number I've read before that still supported Hitler and/or the Nazis even after WW2 ended.

Something for sane Americans who think Trump supporters will "wake up" to ponder given how far the average person in the US is from what the average German had to deal with in the wake of that war.

9

u/Just_A_Dogsbody 1d ago

I think Nixon still had about 30% when he resigned

6

u/Bill_Brasky_SOB 1d ago

Yes. Resigned and accepted a pardon, ipso-facto admitting guilt for getting American GIs killed in Vietnam (by stalling peace talks to get elected) and conducting espionage on his Democratic opponents... still had his 30%.

10

u/bobandgeorge 1d ago

Huh. That is interesting. Just cause I was curious, I looked it up and the IRGC had around 20% support last September with polling reaching around 28% coming from rural areas.

10

u/hopefuldonkeykick 1d ago

I wonder if it is a number that is created naturally within the population, or if it is a target number that makes sense for the politician to target

20-35% is considered by political scientists and social scientists who study population-level philosophies and societies' internal social clustering to be a floor for grouping of support for public officials and public policy issues.

Jamelle Bouie has addressed this specifically with regard to Trump: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efxV1-2rQ2o

15

u/bedrooms-ds 1d ago

There's a studied political theory that hypothesizes that political parties just do enough to win majority. So it explains why D vs. R votes have historically been very close.

Now, that 30% is probably the key number to win power these days. Far rights tune their policies right-enough and left-enough to maintain 30%. If you go higher, you'd lose your profits I guess.

4

u/hopefuldonkeykick 1d ago

There's a studied political theory that hypothesizes that political parties just do enough to win majority. So it explains why D vs. R votes have historically been very close.

Ideal policy positioning is a different political science phenomenon. It's similar, in that it occurs naturally, but not the same thing.

3

u/dpzdpz 1d ago

It's like everything is going to happen "in two weeks." Precise enough to have people believe it, vague enough to ignore it and have people/media forget about it.

Everything in this admin is, "Yes, it sucks now, but just wait! Dow! Checks! Affordability! Next quarter."

2

u/veterinarian23 1d ago

That's an excellent question.
Maybe it's indeed genetically baked into the psychic makeup of a specific percentage of people...?

2

u/Fit-Cobbler6286 1d ago

Actually it’s just really low. The numbers are usually 40% con, 40% lib and 20% independent and other. That means he may have lost around 10+ from his core party.

2

u/red359 1d ago

The theory of Keyes Constant goes into this and states (roughly) that about 30% tends to be the floor for a politician

3

u/Kabouki 1d ago

(e.g., 30% is what is needed to get elected in a bipartisan system with something like gerrymandering, so that is the cost effective number to hit

30% is all you need to win when the vast majority of people have proven not to care about democracy anymore. Bipartisan system has nothing to do with it as non partisan local elections have even worse turnouts while arguably the most impact on ones life.

Many of the primaries saw 80% no shows and that's the most important election right now if your goal is better quality people in government.

1

u/twostripeduck 1d ago

It's probably related to the 80/20 rule.

1

u/Retire_Trade_3007 22h ago

I listened to a historian recently and Hitler only had like 30% popularity. Initially he was considers a boob. He said authoritarians don’t need to be wildly popular to win and the gerrymandering in our country only makes it worse.

1

u/homeostasis3434 18h ago

The Nazi party essentially took control of Germany after winning 37% of the vote.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/July_1932_German_federal_election

If you believe that humans are humans and we are no better than our grandfather's, then the people who have the same tendencies which attracted them to the Nazi party, still exist today.

1

u/padizzledonk 2h ago

About a 1/3 of any population of people are absolutely stupid as fuck

-1

u/Windturnscold 1d ago

The wealthy, the bigoted, and the poorly educated are roughly 30% of the population.

4

u/hopefuldonkeykick 1d ago

Yeah . . . that's not what we're talking about. This number is the same for a lot of issues across a lot of cultures and societies.

16

u/OK6502 1d ago

If you were a frequent reader/watcher of Fox News and other American right wing media you'd be hard pressed to find anything negative being reported on. It happens, but rarely, and the news is usually buried or softened so that the average reader/viewer won't come into contact with it.

They might feel the pinch and wonder what's going on but they're convinced that the war for Iran is for the greater good, tarifs don't cause price increases and anything negative is somehow still the Democrat's fault when they haven't been in power for 2 years and the Republicans control everything.

Propaganda works.

6

u/End3rWi99in 1d ago

That is what we call the "Keyes Constant". For any high visibility issue or person, the floor in polling is basically 27-30%. Trump is effectively at the bottom.

7

u/Flat-Jacket-9606 1d ago

That’s the great thing! Thanks to districting and the electoral college, they really only need that 30%!

It also doesn’t help that I bet you a third of Americans like always are probably still going to sit this out.

3

u/Groovychick1978 1d ago

The way the electoral college is set up would work if our house had the same proportion. California would have almost 150 electoral votes.

The house is the people's house. The house is the people's voice. And they have been diluting it since 1929 ish.

The Trump administration believes inflation is a positive thing, because it allows them to inflate the gigantic debt they're accumulating while weakening the dollar (which they want because they want to bring back manufacturing).

But they need a way to sell it to their base who obviously are suffering for everything happening.

2

u/AngryTomJoad 1d ago

5

u/Practicality_Issue 1d ago

30% makes sense when you look at it thru the right lens.

Who supports him the most? Boomers

Who lives off of income generated by the stock market? Boomers

Where is the only sector of the economy that’s “booming?” The Stock Market

Where are the biggest tax breaks directed? Investment income

What percentage of the economy lives off of investment income primarily? It may not be the full 30%, but it’s enough to matter.

Every generation that comes after the boomers are having their chance at any kind of wealth accumulation is being taxed heavily to keep boomers fat and happy.

On the flip side, I hear democrats talking about How bad the economy is so how about they stop taxing people to death. I live in one of the highest taxed state run by the politicians (democrats' have a super majority) currently complaining about the "affordability crisis".,.... they need to look in the mirror, I broke down the taxes for the average IL citizen per month.

I'm not saying the economy is doing great but damn... give us a break

- Average home tax monthly = $400-600 a month

- Gas Tax 70 cents a gallon = $50 a month

- Tax on a month of utilities including tax adjacent fees = 40$ a month

- Average state income tax = $250 a month

- Average driver for vehicle registration, taxes, inspections, plates etc. = 50$ a month

- State phone /internet taxs, fees and surcharges, runs about 40% of your bill average user = 50$ a month

- Average tollway commuter (1 toll x2) = 40$ a month

- Health care premium increase due to state programs = 50$ a month

$1,130 a month for the average IL Citizen for taxes and like fees

3

u/Any_Sale2030 19h ago edited 19h ago

I think your gas tax may not math.  You’re saying the average person is buying 71 gallons a month?   Assuming 25 mpg that’s 1775 miles a month.  Where are they going and why?   And get a car that gets 40mpg and you don’t care about gas.  It’s affordable at that rate.

No complacency. VOTE BLUE! The future of our country may very well depend on it. Remember everyone MAGA has done to our country when you send in your vote!

21

u/No-Double-Trouble 1d ago

Vote non PAC candidate during primary will help a lot during general election. We lost to trump because we were told to vote the least worse.

3

u/battlepi 1d ago

No, we lost to the child rapist because we didn't vote (I did vote).

1

u/growaway9172 1d ago

This is parroted a lot, but the data shows the nonvoters were disproportionately Trump supporters. So if they had voted, you would have lost harder (my speculation however this might just be because Kamala was trash)

1

u/battlepi 1d ago

I haven't seen any data showing that. I'd say the odds are higher that Kamala failed liberals purity tests and they thought they were being moral by not voting. The young are stupid after all.

But it could be just frustration from the common person with the incumbent because the world was changing heavily after covid. I believe my theory more personally.

2

u/sir_axelot 1d ago

People talk about the right being single issue voters as if the left aren't also single issue voters. The difference being the right looks for a single issue they agree with to vote for a candidate, whereas the left looks for a single issue they disagree with to not vote for a candidate.

1

u/battlepi 1d ago

Yes, the left tends to be purity based, they need perfect candidates. The right tends to be child molesters, and only care that their candidate hurts the people they want hurt. Both policies are wrong.

2

u/growaway9172 1d ago

https://www.pewresearch.org/wp-content/uploads/sites/20/2025/06/PP-2025.6.26_validated-voters_report.pdf

Other sources show 2024 being almost equally split for non-voters between R and D, while in prior elections, D was preferred by non-voters.

As for Kamala, I mean maybe, that is the risk when you run someone for president that did not compete in or win any primary.

2

u/battlepi 1d ago

Desperate times. Having your candidate leave after the primary is a strange circumstance, and technically she was the only one entitled to spend the campaign funds dedicated to that ticket. I wasn't pro Kamala, just anti child rapist traitor.

6

u/Legitimate_Page659 1d ago

Please. The future of the country is already sealed. $40T is an insurmountable amount of debt. The only way to pay that off is going to be through tax hikes and benefits cuts.

That will be politically unpopular so they won’t pass until the US government is unable to find people to loan it money. Our lifestyle is unsustainable, and eventually we’ll need to cut SS and raise taxes. Meanwhile wages are declining as AI becomes more capable.

So America’s future is higher taxes, fewer social services, and declining number of jobs.

We’re cooked.

I bet you're fun at parties.

I usually don’t drop my economic takes at parties, but I’d love to hear what you disagree on.

First, it doesn't need to be paid off, but I do agree that normal mechanisms will never catch up. But second, you don't need to be spreading doom during an election. You're just being an asshole.

2

u/Legitimate_Page659 1d ago

It doesn’t need to be paid off, but it can’t keep endlessly growing.

It’s an unfathomable amount of money to owe. It will absolutely start eroding our standard of living, and at this point it’s so large that it’s an unsolvable problem. American ingenuity has solved a lot of problems, but it can’t solve this one.

I’ve always been left leaning, but after MAGA, I won’t ever consider even a centrist republican. So regarding “spreading doom during an election,” I won’t vote for more of this. But the idea that “the fate of the country depends on the election!” is silly to me. Yes, we’re more fucked if Republicans keep the house / senate. But even if the democrats win Congress, we’re still screwed.

Wonderful. It's still the trolley problem. One button kills 10 million people, one button kills 10 people. You can press one, or be an asshole and just laugh at everyone dying.

As for unfathomable, we can just print 40 trillion in currency and pay it off. We're still a petrodollar, right? Our fiat currency is pure illusion. And if it comes down to it, just declare bankruptcy and start over. Sure, it'll destroy our credit rating for a moment and fuck with a lot of economies, but our GDP is enough to be self-sufficient - especially if we cut the military by half and don't have debt payments. Who is going to come after us to collect?

u/BasvanS 1d ago

This is not a trolley problem. Or a particularly good attempt at “both sides”.

With the trolley problem your choice changes an outcome. In an election everything starts anew and it up to the electorate to decide the best option on the ballot. Democrats are objectively the best choice, by exclusion

2

u/battlepi 1d ago

This is 100% a trolley problem. If you think it isn't then you think both sides are the same, which only a fool would do. One side supports raping children and ignoring the rule of law completely, one side does not. Do I want more progressive candidates, of course.

Inflation is rising and so is the national debt but maga snowflake voters vote on feels and owning the libs. They would pay $20 a gallon and still vote Trump. The best analogy to the maga movement voting against themselves is aligning them to Disney adults taking out mortgages to afford the park.

u/battlepi 1d ago

They'd want to vote for the child molester, but wouldn't be able to afford to drive to the polls.

When republicans gain power, one always expects the US economy to go to shit at some point.

They always institute poor policy in that regard, most notably massive tax cuts for the wealthy and then cuts to useful (often even money saving) services and then inflate military spending. But it can sometimes take a full term or multiple terms to really get things completely in the dumps. To have done this in just 2 years is kind of amazing and feels unprecedented in its incompetence (although I'm sure it's weaponized incompetence put to use by hostile actors both in and outside of both government and the US itself).

Things were going bad enough with the usual bad policy plus on top of it the Trump stuff like trade wars on all its allies. But then they really just jumped off a cliff with the Iran stuff. Wow.

I don’t know why democrats just run billboards non stop with just inflation numbers.

Run gas price billboards near gas stations. Airfare at airports. Mortgage rates near banks.

1

u/MagnificentCat 18h ago

Every gas station and supermarket already does that for them

3

u/Z3r0sama2017 11h ago

A big picture of Trump beside them pointing at it with the 'I did this' would be the perfect accompaniment though

This could actually make inflation worse. One of the causes for inflation is people generally believing there will be inflation.

What your saying would probably work, but dang I don’t want that

It's called media control. My parents were like this for years to only ever watching stuff like Fox and listen to the b.s on the radio. It's the thing with aggressive behavior I've noticed that triggers certain parts of the brain; the fun of sound frequency lol; but with this going on 2 years now have realized themselves it's all a game, but they're not farmers or older people who barely use a computer or always on the Internet themselves. That's another class stance of people especially elderly that only really listen to the radio and what they think is "news" on t.v.

u/MarcooseOnTheLoose 1d ago

And at least the next 2-3 months will be the same if not worse considering past revisions. That is, if Trump doesn’t fire all the Debbie Downers ruining his MAGA rhetoric. Brace for impact. There’s more bad news coming.

Usually whenever he suffers a blow they just have to change his diaper. May his suffering continue and all of us battles be one-sided against him.

1

u/CaveDances 1d ago

Everyone who voted him into office failed the nation they claim to love. They set us on a course for disaster. Not global leaders, just a pariah and threat to the global order.

Money's going to be tight this Holiday Season, and Republicans will be in power until January so the Trump White House won't be able to complain about how the 'Dumbocrats' are responsible for Trumpflation. Of course they'll whine and tell the peons they should buy fewer gifts.

"I don't think that a beautiful baby girl needs – that's 11 years old – needs to have 30 dolls," Trump told "Meet the Press" host Kristen Welker. "I think they can have three dolls or four dolls because what we were doing with China was just unbelievable. I'm just saying they don't need to have 30 dolls. They can have three. They don't need to have 250 pencils. They can have five."

Democratics or Republican we would have reached the same conclusions. Electoral College controls the primary election....

Once the president changes not too many ppl change out. Maybe 30 heads probably less.

Who controls inflation the Federal Reserve.... By raising and lowering interest rates.

What's hurting the US is that we can't sell our bonds to other countries. That's where most of everything gets paid. Taxes are chump change and never paid for much.

Perfect storm lately. Aging infrastructure, US put the money into military so we have to extort other countries. Gas lighting our allies with the dollar and declvaluing their local currency.

The Fed tried to raise rates on Tech, but it needs the funds for development....

Found out most companies are just extensions of the gov and there's no free capital market.

"trump suffers double inflation blow"

come on, some comic artist is drawing trump inflating like a balloon, right?

140 characters because sure, why not

-3

It's amazing that the media has become this simple pimple narrative. Trump takes all the credit for good, and takes all the blame for the bad but spends most of the time pretending like he does nothing, whilst golfing and being on twitter 24/7...its very representative of the greater economy, how all the work is done by the thousands of people, for one ceo to take all the credit and all the blame... Esp in america, where the president holds no real power over the economy, being blames for inflation is very odd, I get it if it were China or Russia as they have centralised goverment controlling economy, but in the west, it's neoliberalism and idea of democracy, so no one leader is truely responcibile for anything that happens as they don't really have any control over much other than being a face of a party, and system of governance that is doing all the work.
