Outdoor Spaces/Recreation ROCK HOUNDING?

With the last of fall coming im looking for some rock projects to polish up over winter. Im new to the edmonton area and was wondering if there are any specific parts of the river valley to look? Other spots like maybe Devon or surrounding area would be awesome too. Thanks!

Found some crinoids right downtown today right before the wind started up, near the legislature building. (:

Awesome! Thanks, are they fairly common along the river?

They’re not super common. There’s a ton of quartz, iron oxide , pyrite and petrified wood- less common are fossils, but they’re there!

Lots of places along the north sask. Genesee bridge. Devon. In the city.

Lots of people sluicing for gold and leave piles of clean cool rocks at those spots.
