Looking for work Temp Cash work?

Hey there. I am looking for some small cash jobs. Not looking for crazy pay. I am short for winter clothing this year. After pricing everything I need from Amazon, it is going to run me approximately $500. Sucks when you need to buy everything new.

Given the current weather, I can cut grass (or shovel snow) when the time comes. I can do light labor. I can clean. I am looking for pay by job, not hourly, and refuse to be paid until job is done.

I don't have any yard tools, or cleaning supplies and I take the bus. I am in the Capilano neighborhood.

Right now your best option is probably raking leaves.

Check at local businesses and ask if you can post up an ad with your contact info. That can be printed super cheap at the library.

They etransfer you, but if you’re attempting to not pay taxes, taking money from the government to do so would be pretty foolish.

Have you tried the temp services? People Ready? They do pick up construction type jobs. Paid daily. I made about $100 a day there when I needed fast cash a couple years ago.

I know there are at least 2 of these places, People Ready and another one. They aren’t cash jobs though. They cut you a cheque.

See if you can get put in your local community league newsletter! Throw together a little blurb, offer to help seniors or parents for whatever your price, and reach out to your league

Do they pay under the table? I need a cash job, and on a Temp basis. I also have a valid security license with a ton of experience. Think I have a couple tickets but not sure if they are still valid

So you aren't legally to work in Canada and you don't have the ability to go to goodwill for second hand clothing. Interesting.

Actually, I have been working legally in Canada for 35 years. I have extenuating circumstances that don't allow me to look for work at the moment. Clearly, you do not know me or my situation. If you have nothing positive to contribute to a post for someone just looking to earn a few extra bucks, then please keep your comments to yourself.

Sounds like you’re on EI or AISH or some kind of program where you’re not allowed to collect a salary. If this isn’t the case, then clarifying your circumstances instead of continuing to let people jump to conclusions would be beneficial as you ask people for help.

First, my circumstances aren't anyone's business. Second, I have not asked for help. I have asked for people that need help and are willing to pay cash. It isn't a complicated concept. I think the most complicated part is putting this online because in the 30 years I have been doing this in person, there has never been an issue. People may just need to mind there business if things don't concern them instead. Nothing against you in general, but the post clearly asks for people who need work done and are willing to pay cash. If someone has a comment that isn't a potential job, it probably doesn't have any place in this comment section, of a post that was posted in Jobs... Or maybe I'm delusional thinking that. Who knows.

Asking for people to pay you cash because you cannot be paid through normal means in order to afford necessities would be considered help by most people.

There’s no shame in it. I’m just saying if you don’t want people to jump to conclusions, and get offended when people make assumptions, then more clarity might be needed. That’s all.
