Politics AMA With District 8 Candidate Matthew Guzman
Hey r/ElPaso! I’m Matthew Guzman, and I’m running for City Council in District 8. I’m new to Reddit, but I want to connect directly with you to discuss the future of our city. I’ll be hosting an AMA right here this Sunday from 3 PM to 4 PM. Whether you want to know my stances on local hot topics or just why I decided to run for council, bring your questions. I'm looking forward to engaging with you all!

I don't know who "they" is, but I'm here on my own accord because I believe the more people we can get civically involved, the better. I don't expect to agree with everyone on everything, but I do think it's important that people have an opportunity to engage with candidates who are vying for a position on the dais. So, I figured Reddit would be a nice alternative to the toxic comment sections of Facebook and Instagram. From what I've seen Reddit seems to have a better sense of humor, so I think we'll get along just fine ;-) Hope to see you on the AMA this Sunday!
