Show and tell Canadian Emergency Broadcasting System Attack Warning Broadcast (Pink) Script @ Diefenbunker Museum

Figured you'd all enjoy this; went to the Diefenbunker in Carp, Ontairo for the first time earlier this week and was very excited to find this.

A bit of context; the Diefenbunker (formerly known as the Canadian Forces Station Carp) is an underground bunker and nuclear fallout shelter built during the Cold War and authorized by then-prime minister John Diefenbaker. The bunker served as a safety net for the Canadian government to continue operating in the event of nuclear war with the USSR. It was designated as a National Historic Site of Canada in 1994, and converted into a museum in 1998.

This image depicts a copy of the EBI/pink attack warning broadcast script that would've been used by the Canadian Emergency Broadcasting System in the event of an attack on the country.

But cause I am a nerd , if it ever does happen, going to a basement won't cut it. Put towels or whatever insulation around doors and windows if you have time, cover with a blanket and put your hands against you neck. Close your eyes and breath through clench teeth. That was what I was taught. Pray that never happens though!!

Sorry it should read semi clenched, my phone didn't recognize that word. So you want teeth together, like resting normally so that the blast or shock won't rattle your skull but also protecting your throat. If you don't close youre eyes you risk losing them. So kinda the same difference with the mouth. If youre outside and that blast hits you wide mouthed, it goes or the shock inside you. If youre that close most times it wouldn't matter. But in tines of stress people clench fully and the shock hits you and and it's bad. So sorry and thank you for pointing that out!!
