What the hell happened
I don´t really care about Kid Rock. I'm not from the US and I don´t know about its politics. The thing is, this track sucks.
And I'm saying it as the biggest Em stan I know, I've loved him for many years now. Even in his worst Encore or Revival songs I could find something enjoyable.
But what the hell was that? that was nothing you´d expect from a rapper with a succesful 20+ years career.
The flow was very awkward and monotonous, saying it sounds like an old Eminem flow is straight up disrepecting what 2000's flow was
The rhymes were incredibly childish and basic, he rhymed "see me" with "see me"
The subject matter was uninteresting. It's the same "no one believed in me" we heard hundreds of times but now adding Kid Rock into the mix. It's like he's justifying himself to the audience.
And there is that fuckass Slim Shady voice again. Slim Shady died 2 years ago, why are we still hearing it?
There are many bad Eminem songs, but with these you can atleast see what he was trying to do.
I can't understand how he thought this was something that was ready to release, he sounds like a very amateur rapper. It's as if he only did it because he owed Kid a favor, but he wasn't really interested in doing it.
what do you think? did he really forget what makes a good song?
I'll just go and listen to my SSLP cd to clean my ears.

It was one verse.

I do think the fact that it’s not actually his song does play a big factor in this. He agreed to be on his friends album. Personally, i didn’t really like the song but I really liked eminems verse. However, I can definitely see why somebody wouldn’t like it

I really feel like Em could’ve rode this beat so much better. Not a big fan of the verse right now.

It’s a shoutout verse. This is a kid rock song, played for his demographic audience. Obviously em isn’t gonna be spitting bars and punchlines in a Christian country rap song. 😭 it’s a feat. Also this is literally his old flow. Like literally. lol

music is a reflection of self, he just explain it and then get his checks in the mail.
rap isnt all about lyrical acrobats. technical spectacles wearing spectacles with a checkered flow from mexico. sometimes theres a purpose in their rhymes where they want to express themselves and this is him doing that. its not one of those rappity rap rap rap crap rap songs

I mean the song was hot dog-ass but I think it was trying to make a statement about how whatever side people are on they're all still Americans. I could be way off though that's just what I got from it so you kill me with downvotes lol
