These are ALL my opinion okay?
(Finally got enough karma to contribute)
Realest: 9/10 I miss this Eminem, I really do. Ez Mil also killed it
Lace It: 9.3/10 Just insane, I love this Eminem and honestly I really liked Juice on it
Doomsday Pt 2 7.2/10 For what it was it’s good, the music video felt boring and overused. The song wasn’t super special
Gunz and Smoke 6.5/10 Not sure what I thought of the opening verse, felt underwhelming, appreciate the Biggie sample though
Animals Pt 1 10/10 I’m dead serious. And gonna get killed. When it was released it was one of my favorite Eminem songs of all time, I posted earlier about a line from it with fucking 4 meanings and it was a BAD. I seriously think this is one of jids best verses of all time. The slim shady voice sounds so good in the song.
Madara 3.7/10. The em verse fucking sucks, it sounds like a lazy version of animals with a choppy flow. The song overall is also ass. Honestly after Ka I had high exceptions from ez
Heal my Faith 5/10 Kid Rock does fucking horrible, on the ai ”leak” of 7 sins that sounds better than this shit. Em does pretty solid but the ai voice sounds like it’s slowly breaking apart
Likely the wise move to not say. lol.
I cannot emphasize how much I love this man. I’ve said it in a couple other threads but once I really got hooked (pun intended) not long before Recovery dropped, Em has been a constant in my life. When things were good, bad, great, or as awful as they are now with me spiraling badly with some mental health shit, dude’s presence has always been there.
I genuinely do respect his idea that politics shouldn’t divide people with longstanding relationships. The problem is that reality has been dead for a long time. When we would respectfully disagree with people on political topics, it used to be abortion or gun control or so forth. There is no respectfully disagreeing or “both sides” about Trump and the MAGA cult.
Kid Rock blindly defends a man who said he’d have no problem with U.S. cities being bombed, or who gets on stage and proudly refers to Muslim-Americans as “Muhammad.” KR talks about “assimilating,” and it’s like, Em is good with this? He’s fine signing off on contributing to a Kid Rock album now?
And I’m not saying Em should’ve dissolved the friendship. I didn’t vote for Trump this last time and won’t in 2028, because I truly believe he’s gonna say “fuck the constitution” and run again. But Em, you’re really gonna get up there and say, “well we’re not gonna let this shit divide us.” And almost gaslighting the fans?
Forget Campaign Speech, what he said on Revival, etc. Dude your fans stuck by you through the drugs, they stood by you through Relapse’s poor reception, they even stuck by you when Paul was exploiting your likeness for that crypto shit or those bullshit expanded editions.

All politics and music stuff aside… I wonder how he celebrated his birthday today. Hailie is away with friends and Alaina was pumpkin picking with her daughter (going from their insta stories).
I do wonder also how he normally celebrates it or if he even does celebrate his birthday.
Sadly bad timing for a song of this nature to drop on his birthday. I hope his day wasn’t clouded by the discussion. Everyone should still be able to enjoy one day a year so no negativity.
How on earth does one buy someone wealthy gifts?! What would you get him?!

Nothing is saving this track, but I thought I'd try hearing how he originally sounded before slapping the worst-sounding AI model in history onto his vocals
(Technically, it's RVC layered onto RVC, but using 'De-AI' feels more applicable here)

The eminem from 20 years ago would have a field day with a 54 year old washed rapper collaborating with a alt right puppet. Especially considering this 54 year old rapper uses an AI voice filter to make it sound like his glory days. Nobody wants to hear their grandfather rap.
Edit: the fact that they've been friends for 30 years or have collaborated once upon a time does nothing to change my opinion. The song is terrible and it's really as simple as that. If you guys really want to defend a guy who has the lyrics "statutory is mandatory" then be my guest, I personally believe that peak Eminem would've absolutely destroyed the sick imitation we have now.

Just hear to remind everyone they should listen to this song once a week to never forget how amazing that verse is. Absolute perfection.

This isn't even meant to be disrespectful towards em or anyone who has justified critiques of him, but I don't think I've seen a single positive thing said about em on this sub (aside from a few recent happy birthday posts). The only "positive" posts I've seen about him are just people complaining about people complaining about him. I'm 99% sure it's just because this is reddit and no one on reddit is ever happy but it's actually shocking how much his "fanbase" seems do essentially hate him.

While Relapse is a bit inconsistent, the highs are very high
“Your VCR tape cases, with your Ambien CR
Great places to hide 'em, ain't it? So you can lie to Hailie
I'm going beddy-bye, Whitney, baby, good night, Alaina
Go in the room and shut the bedroom door
And wake up in an ambulance
They said they found me on the bathroom floor, damn”

I don´t really care about Kid Rock. I'm not from the US and I don´t know about its politics. The thing is, this track sucks.
And I'm saying it as the biggest Em stan I know, I've loved him for many years now. Even in his worst Encore or Revival songs I could find something enjoyable.
But what the hell was that? that was nothing you´d expect from a rapper with a succesful 20+ years career.
The flow was very awkward and monotonous, saying it sounds like an old Eminem flow is straight up disrepecting what 2000's flow was
The rhymes were incredibly childish and basic, he rhymed "see me" with "see me"
The subject matter was uninteresting. It's the same "no one believed in me" we heard hundreds of times but now adding Kid Rock into the mix. It's like he's justifying himself to the audience.
And there is that fuckass Slim Shady voice again. Slim Shady died 2 years ago, why are we still hearing it?
There are many bad Eminem songs, but with these you can atleast see what he was trying to do.
I can't understand how he thought this was something that was ready to release, he sounds like a very amateur rapper. It's as if he only did it because he owed Kid a favor, but he wasn't really interested in doing it.
what do you think? did he really forget what makes a good song?
I'll just go and listen to my SSLP cd to clean my ears.

Ngl… if Em keeps using that fuckass Shady voice filter on every new verse, he might as well just call it wraps.
He didn’t even actually kill Shady at the end of Guilty Conscience 2; it was a dream. Feels like he’s conceptually possessed by his own character now.
Did the Houdini/TDOSS success make him think we only care about Slim? Is the filter here to stay, or are we ever getting normal Marshall back?
The title basically says it all, but I really think Eminem has, on some level, really wanted to get cancelled since the pandemic. Almost everything he's said for the better part of a decade points to that. So on TDOSS he enlisted Shady to say the most offensive shit he could muster, but it didn't really bother anybody because we love when he does that—if anything, it didn't have enough bite to it.
But if you go back to Infinite, he said:
But in the midst of this insanity, I found my Christianity
Through God and there's a wish he granted me
He showed me how to cope with the stress
And hope for the best, instead of mopin' depressed
And we all know how that worked out:
Tried to argue it was only entertainment, dawg
Gangster? Nah, courageous balls, had to change my style
They said I'm way too soft and I sound like AZ and Nas
Out came the claws and the fangs been out since then
So my take is that it's not exactly an accident that his verse doesn't fall on the beat very well, that he changed which song it showed up on at the last minute, etc. Shady's dead, but Eminem still needs to die and be reborn, so he had Kid Rock hoist the cross.

It is getting so hard to keep defending Em when he putting out dogshit like this. TWO verses to Kid Rock + AI filter + Same ”Dre saved me” story
Obviously I love this guy. The music has been there for me in my darkest times, and he’s still and probably always will be my GOAT. But genuinely I cannot in good conscience defend the shit that is leaving his ass. I cannot debate anyone that says Em is washed, and say that he “still has it”. TDoSS was some good ass music, and to see him doing this shit is so tiring.
His next album better be incredible, because he’s proving the washed allegations right.
