We went with Swank Metalsmithing to design my engagement ring! I fell in love with their “Delilah Engagement Ring Set with Trillion Side Stones,” and they brought my vision to life perfectly. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out! I need to size down, but this is a 5.5.

1.02 carat natural diamond, Color grade I, VS1, emerald cut set in platinum. The setting is too big for me and going to replace the platinum with a yellow gold band anyhow but! I’m very happy with the quality of the diamond! It was very difficult to find a natural diamond as an emerald cut within our budget and it shipped to my store within 3 days! Overall, very happy with this diamond and ring! Now.... How to tell family and friends we went to Costco...😅

We designed the ring together, so I knew it was coming, but not when. Fancy intense yellow asscher cut diamond in a custom Peter Storm setting (loosely based on the ring in Wolf of Wall Street. He's a finance bro). Ring size 5.5. We're back in his hometown for his high school reunion and staying at a gorgeous historic hotel. He got down on one knee last night. Of course I said yes.

I know it's taboo for a woman to propose to a man, but he told me that he would be extremely happy if I proposed to him. He informed me that if I did, his answer would be Yes!

I plan on taking him on a date to this German town near me, and with it being Halloween we're going to be in our pokemon onsies. 😂 He has a Pikachu onesie I got him as a gift, and I have my Gengar one. The ring box will be a Luxury Ball since that's his favorite pokéball.

He didn't want a standard band, so I figure this one would be different but subtle. He likes minimalist aesthetics. The stone for his ring is Aquamarine, which is my birthstone. His birthstone Emerald will be in the ring he gifts to me.

TLDR: proposing to my boyfriend on Halloween, taking him to a German town, nerding out with pokemon stuff, swapped out casual diamonds with our birthstones. He approves of being proposed to. 👍

About three weeks ago we got engaged!! I am so in love with my ring 😭 my fiancé designed it himself! The photos don’t even do it justice I swear.

Hey everyone, so the first photo the diamond is a .4 carat and the next 2 it is a 1.75. the wedding band fits snug perfectly with the larger stone however the smaller one also looks great but doesn’t fit as perfectly. Most of my friend and family like the larger one but what do you guys think?

I liked brilliant round solitaires but wanted something more unique; like cushions but wanted more sparkle. As a result, I opted for a hearts and arrows cushion.

However, something feels off. Does anyone know what it is? Or does it look good and I’m overthinking?

Would love thoughts on the best among these options or creative ideas about the gem/band/etc! Adding other sizes in comments.

EDIT: I agree the ring is a tad too small and needs to be resized. Unfortunately rings can’t go lower on my finger.

Long time lurker, finally want to share this because it still makes me so happy!!!!! Last year at some point I drew the little sketch in the last photo as a silly little "yeahhh kinda like this" thing for my fiance. He's adamant he doesn't remember this conversation or drawing ever happening.

Well in January my fiance pulls out the most perfect ring I could ever imagine!!! I'm so in love with my ring and everyone who sees it agrees it's "so me". I'm just so proud of him and feel so loved that he knows me so well!

We haven't really decided on anything. I like more of a whimsical uniquely forest vibe and he likes more classical timeless. He surprised me with this ring a couple days ago and I'm obsessed my favorite color green, and it has everything that I want it, and I think it fits both of us perfectly.

It’s perfectly comfortable, so it doesn’t matter, but I was told this was very low profile, and would be hard to find a band that would sit flush. However, it feels like it sits pretty high!
