Fan remastered version of SYNAW
Does anyone else have a copy of this track with different mixing to it?
I’ve had this track for more than a decade now(got it while sailing the high seas) and the mixing is very different from the album and single version. (More punchy, less mids, bit more echo) And no it’s not the demo version from 2004. I’m pretty sure it’s not an official remaster/remix but I’m not positive. It has been nearly 20 years.

Pretty sure there was a very early live in some radio studio version of it from the very early days, could it be that?

No it’s not that. It’s basically the music video version, but the mixing is better than the other versions.

Did they not actually properly play it as it was intended with the correct tempo at Download for the pilot after Rory realised they have been playing it wrong that whole time

There was a Zane Lowe session version of it I ripped onto my iPod about 15 years ago, could it be that?

It's on The Zone which is on Spotify, I wonder if this is the version OP is thinking of?

I uploaded it to yt as an unlisted vid. Use headphones and compare this to the album version and you’ll see the mix is actually different. I have no idea how this version even came about.

I remember this version. Had this on a burned CD once. I can’t remember if it was just the single version or something? It’s what made me want to buy a kaos pad and I was gutted when they removed/ incorporated the intro in the album version.

Yeah man I can understand how you feel because it would drive me insane. Fairly sure it was the single version that came a year or so before take to the skies - I had this one and mothership demo on my burner cd. Then they released a more polished (over polished imo). I think the issue is that stuff like this is lost in streaming services where I think the single version of sorry you’re not a winner is just the polished version without the intro?

On a similar note - anyone noticed that the BBC R1 version of Thermometers has a deeper wub on the ‘drop’?
