Aww! That feeling when...
That feeling when you realize your 3 year old is going to be HUGE 🙈
I also never thought my heart would be healed after losing my heart horse of 13 years unexpectedly, but this boy knows just how to heal me 🥹❤️

That is one big boy!!! As for the healing of your heart, I firmly believe that when we lose a fur baby, a dog, a cat, a horse, the best thing we can do is find another baby to love. Not as a replacement but as another animal that needs our love and attention.
He is only 3?? Soooo big!!!

Exactly. Nobody expects the circumstances that lead to traumatic brain injury.

I've had one. And sitting on my extremely quiet horse for a minute for a photo was fine. I ride in a helmet because I understand the risks. No need to assume off one photo.

But we all pay health insurance and liability rates based on the consequences. Your risk is my risk is your barn's risk is the high cost of horse ownership. Watch "Every Ride, Every Time." It's a simple habit to adopt. Things can and do go wrong on extremely quiet horses.

If you cant keep control of your horse long enough to take a photograph, in an enclosed arena, you probably shouldn’t be riding horses.

I get it, and I'm a Brit so I appreciate that I'll have a different take than those from the US, but most people I know who has been either badly injured or killed by a horse was rarely riding.
I know any close shaves I've had have been on the ground or during some sort of transition.
Horses take 0.0 of a second to go from chill as fuck to 6 feet from where they were, often with zero external stimuli that you'd be aware of.
Just stay safe

I fell off a big ol warmblood, rocking horse kind of guy, been there done that, pretty much bombproof, from a standstill. Something moved behind him while two other riders and I were standing around waiting for a fourth pair to mount up for a trail ride. He went sideways, I went over his shoulder, nobody really knew what happened including the other horses. I ended up sitting on the ground with my horse looking at me like “hey what are you doing down there?” but I very well could have hit my shoulder or head if either of us had moved differently. Always wear a helmet.

Holy smokes. Is he a warm blood? I’ve never seen one in western tack. So pretty!

I love them and how they just come in all different shapes and sizes.

Right !! He never actually raced in trading. He was just too slow so they sold him as a 2-year-old and that's when I bought him !

I looked at the horse before looking at the human and that changed the perspective so much 😭

Thanks! It's actually from the Hot Topic clearance section 🤣

Woah….thats not what I expected to find at a hot topic. Perhaps that’s why it was on the clearance rack? 😂
I’ll have that on my radar now

Either your horse is HUGE, or you are tiny. So cute that horse! 😄
