MEGATHREAD 2026/27 Semester 1 AUTUMN/WINTER: where are you going on Erasmus?
Every semester there will be a megathread for the people that are currently on Erasmus, internship or studying abroad in general. Spot someone in the same city as you? Maybe your very first friends can be met on this thread!

* This megathread is earlier than the usual ones. This is so that others can maybe find people who go to the same city as them and to already engage in conversation for that. But the thread stays up until January for sure!

Apartment found on subito.it (It wasn't easy in general but what we found is perfect!).

Going to UKEN/Krakow, acommodation is supplied by university and costs 6000 PLN per semester.

You can get cheap drinks at Le Nouvelle Institut and Bah LouLou :-) furthermore explore as much of Paris as you can. This is the chance. Most people go on holiday for a week but that’s not enough to see all of Paris. Now you can and make the most of it. Have fun moet of all!

sorry for the late reply. i usually studied at my uni itself (UCT) library because it was open even if the night so it was great.
bars - popo is the most famous one probz because you get a cocktail for 4 euros and shots for 2 euros (i think beer is like 1.5?), but i also really liked chapeau rouge
esn is very good association in prague and most unis also have their own.

I study in Thessaloniki (my hometown is so small it doesnt even have a uni) and im going to Leipzig for 2 semesters! I've been interrogating every german tourist i encounter here haha and they all said those two cities are pretty similar, so thats a relief. (Komotini is veeery close to Thessaloniki btw, go check it out if you ever get the chance)

Nice to meet you too! I'll be in the Germanistik department, while also taking some lessons from Translatologie dept. as well. The name's Anna Maria! Luckily i got an offer from Studentenwerk, have you also solved the housing issue? It was my biggest concern, but now I'm so so relieved. I also booked the airplane tickets a few days ago and only now does it start to feel real, haha. 😆 (Also Vitória is such a pretty name !!🌞) *Edit: University Leipzig specifically

I know Studentenwerk!! but I still cant apply :(
My Erasmus application is not concluded yet, I am refreshing my inbox non-stop wainting for any updates from my uni. I delivered every documents needed and now I just need their final say about the procedure and if I get any financial aid.
Thats also why I am hesitating buying the plain tickets aaaaa
I have a friend that also went to Leipzig on Erasmus last year and they told me about the WG-Gesucht app for housing, and other stuff like how to buy the monthly ticket for public transports. If it helps, I can share what she told me with you!
