Erasmus student in Athens, toothache and possible cavity, where can I get affordable dental treatment?
Hi everyone!
I’m an Erasmus student currently living in Athens. I’ve started experiencing tooth pain, and I think I might have a cavity or tooth decay that needs to be treated, possibly with a filling.
I have a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), but I’m not sure if dental treatment is covered in Greece.
Does anyone know where I could get this treated for free or at a low cost? Are there public or university dental clinics I could visit, or would it be better to go private?
I’d really appreciate recommendations for English-speaking dentists, information on how to book an appointment, typical waiting times, and approximate costs.
Thanks a lot for any help!

I can’t help you, but maybe your uni has a health service or emergency consulting for erasmus students?

EHIC only covers medically necessary care so it rarely pays for fillings. Just walk into any public hospital dental department in Athens with your passport and student ID because they treat emergencies for free or at a steep discount compared to private clinics.

Dental treatment isn't covered. Better to go private imo
