In the future, we ask that all images need to come from a verified media source. Not sourced from random accounts on Twitter / X.

With the media environment in Ethiopia it can be very difficult to obtain accurate or objective information. These submission rules are designed to improve the quality of information that is posted on r/Ethiopia, and allow the community to be better informed.

I’m trying to find official sources but It’s 100% accurate. Somehow, Ethiopian official media isn’t reporting on this war for a reason. You can see the same people in the briefing, right?

I understand, but as a policy we need all images to come from official sources or from established media accounts.

There's been many occasions where images have been misattributed or given incorrect titles or descriptions. For this reason we ask that all images/news/links are sourced and attributed from a trusted or credible source.

I completely understand. Unfortunately, on this case, Ethiopian official reporting is almost prohibited on this war to avoid triumphalist public sentiment that worsens conflict. So, I did my own verification. I have a video of the briefing authorities, hundreds of images including boxes tagged “Eritrea”, Iranian Mohajer 06, Sudanese manufactured munitions, Turkish weapons. For the sake of people who want to cover up by deliberately saying it’s from South Sudan, I attached a video where the same people are visible.

Is there a reason why this post is not removed, if sources are not verified, better yet photos are falsified. This is spreading false information

Can you find these specific images attributing them to the Australian MoD in South Sudan?

Countries assign specific military personnel in embassies to deal with military matters. It’s common practice.

What is happening now is the logical outcome of federalization; we ourselves granted the regions too much autonomy—we even allowed them to have their own armies! Now, we are paying the price for that foolish naivety and reckless gamble. The country needs to be centralized, not fractured further through even more federalization—which is exactly what many civilian politicians, such as Prime Minister Abiy, are doing.

Tf u mean we? It’s the TPLF who did that, it was a calculated move from them from the beginning to ensure their survival even if they lost power

The Liyu Hails werent a thing until after 2018 (with the exception of Somali region where they were created as a counterinsurgency force). All of that accelerated in the power vacuum which formed after the TPLF lost control of the center. I guess it is a good thing they've since been consolidated under a single command.

It works in the US, but there are core principles that those in power adhere to, which may or may not actually be for the benefit of the people at large, but for the power of the wealthy class and of the state. But still their lives are better than ours. Obviously though what works for them will not copy paste work for us. I like the idea of regional militaries who understand defending their own borders and people better than federalized occupying military from all over the country. But when government doesn't feel balanced and representative of the people's will, I can see how it can be easy for regional forces to militarize and challenge central authority.

Federalism isn't the problem, "Ethnic Federalism" is.

Good on our federal defense forces for showcasing the terror committed by these terrorist groups and are foreign enemies. Glad the world is taking the side with Ethiopia.

another video

Other pictures

You can’t lie out of this, the army recovered 14 military depots across Tigray.

These images are from South Sudan. It’s embarrassing to lie like this.

Liar, it is whole one day visit. Hundreds of images are shared on Twitter! Here’s a video of FDRE military PR giving the briefing.

Thanks for including. Next time it may be helpful to include the source along with the post. Can help get ahead of doubters, and also saves those curious and wanting to verify a few extra steps.

None of those are the same people nor the same location

Skip to the end of the video and tell us it’s still South Sudan.

I’m not debating the video. The images don’t match you dunce

0

u/Exotic-Environment-7 1d ago

Don’t match with what? There were 2 events, they showed the captured communications equipment in Addis on the first day and then the weapons and drones at the Air Force HQ in Debre Zeit/Bishoftu the next. The pictures on the post are from the second day.

Abiy's drama never ends. Next he will tell us that TPLF is armed with nuclear weapons.

5

u/Marzz-12 1d ago

Panglossian is back after a long time.

I thought you went to join the tdf because the opportunity was there.

1

u/Panglossian14 1d ago

Yep i'm back!

I didn't join TDF yet. My plan was to integrate at least FPV drone capability to TDF. They've already done that and have different type of drones. Seems like i'm not needed, at least for now.

may tplf rot for what they did to ethiopia

AMEN IN THE REPLYS

1

u/Panglossian14 15h ago

Amen! May TPLF perish and a democratic government be established!

But for now Tigray needs TPLF, and unless you are Tigrayan you have no say on the future of TPLF or any Tigrayan party so SYBUA!

-1

u/Clean_coalmine 1d ago

No but they did have chemical weapons.

2

u/Panglossian14 1d ago

What kind of chemical weapons and where is the evidence? I know TDF is better armed and has a variety of weapons compared to other armed groups, but the weapons displayed in the post are total lies. ENDF is showing its own weapons.

1

u/Clean_coalmine 1d ago

TDF is dead. Use past tense when addressing it. TPF 🫡💪🇪🇹

0

u/Panglossian14 1d ago

Sure if that makes you sleep.

1

u/Clean_coalmine 1d ago

It does. Thank you very much
