Inception if you haven't seen it, same director and similar mind-bendy feel

The Martian or Project Hail Mary (if you love space movies and big what ifs.)

I remember watching the Martian after Interstellar and thinking “Matt Damon as an astronaut is a giant prick, how can I even like this movie?”

Yeah, thinking he’s Iron Man ….

Well you’ll detest him as an astronaut in Interstellar!

That’s what I meant by watching the Martian after Interstellar haha

Yep, you might want to run through all of Christopher Nolan's movies!

I really liked Oppenheimer, too.

I personally much prefer Sunshine (2007) to Interstellar. If you’re looking for some genuinely great, “grounded” sci-fi, I’d highly recommend checking it out.

That is a wild take. I mean, God bless, but a truly wild take.

As far as films of this kind go, Sunshine just hits all the right notes for me.

Fantastic cast, superb soundtrack by Underworld, and a bold highly stylised creative direction that gives it a really distinctive identity.

By comparison, I found Interstellar totally bland and predictable.

Sunshine is fantastic though.

Sunshine is a far better movie than Interstellar.

I just watched Das Leben der Anderen(2006), really excellent, high quality movie.

War of the Worlds (2005) (Tom Cruise) certified banger
