Eliminating the competitors in the form of foreign suppliers so that American companies could charge more for their products is the reason for the tariffs.

So, even in this context, he can refer to China as a “bad actor”
But recently we watched as the red carpet was rolled out for Xi and other Chinese leaders with not a mention of “bad actors” from Fox, nor a mention that two months ago Trump held a press conference touting China’s election interference as justification for his claims of
election fraud
Fuck all of ‘em

I just watched 3 minutes of Jesse Waters. It’s incredible that people listen to his moronic take on the world. Not to mention his guest Tomi lahren both of them are absolutely racist bigots

Charlie Gasperino is a low life. Hammered Obama, Treated him with incredible disrespect said his policies were going to ruin the country. Constantly on CNBC talking about how Republicans were better for the economy. This is one of the architects of what we have now. So the rats are jumping the ship. Too funny.

History will not be kind to Trump's legacy.
The chapter on tariffs in Project 2025 left the decision up to Trump, the Unitary Executive. It had two essays that basically contradicted themselves. Trump decided to blow everything up and destroy any good faith the US had with the world. He has done generational harm to the US standing in the world.
President Trump says he considered allowing "a major lawsuit" against Fed Chair Powell because of the "horrible and grossly incompetent job he has done." He also says Powell "must now lower rates, " and the "damage he has done is incalculable."
Graduate level economics textbooks will have a chapter on what Yellen, Powell, and Biden achieved. Perfect? No. But they managed a soft landing on the largest economy in the history of the world.
Trump's economic policy will be lumped in with Erdogan's and forever tied to the TACO designation given to him by Murdock's WSJ.
Erdogan ran his inflation to 84%, going against every economic standard to keep the fed rate low and weaken the Lira. This was great for those who have foreign investments, but pensioners, family farms, and small businesses were hurt the most. In the end, the weak Lira did not result in the influx of foreign investment. With a weak economy, foreign money stayed out.
It wasn't until the Earthquake and his disastrous response that he compelled Erdogan to return to sane economic practice. He was able to tie his new policy with the post COVID prosperity.
Compare that to what Putin's finance minister pulled off until now. She hasn't been seen in a while and the Russian economy is on fire, literally.
Trump is purposefully devaluing the dollar. The question is why? Exports are down, so if that's the reason, he's failed. Perhaps he's trying to force us to switch to digital money, like his tokens? Maybe.
Crypto has doubled the Trump family's net worth: https://www.forbes.com/sites/danalexander/2025/09/22/heres-how-much-the-trump-kids-have-made-because-of-the-presidency/
And now, after Iran, he will get an entire chapter in many textbooks, but not as a good thing. He's destroyed the dollar hegemony and the concept of petro dollars, we'll never get that back. Watch the bond market as the world dumps the dollar as a reserve currency.
