A couple months and 100+ sketches and my perfectionist ass has crafted my personal Frankenstein monster (that I'm still not 100% satisfied with 😆). Lots of ideas and inspiration combined: GDT's creature, Universal's, the novel, the art of Sam Kieth and Simon Bisley, and a splash of The Muppets, etc.. Left is fresh off the slab, right is Arctic attire after he's gone through it. Hope you like him.

So, 8 year old step-daughter likes spooky shit and she likes listening to me read.

We are pretty much out of age appropriate spooky shit to watch on TV.

I’m about to start the book for the first time. She nestled up next to me while I was reading the extra content in the Penguin Classics edition and asked me to read it aloud. No, I don’t think she was grasping the content very well but if she’s enjoying it idec.

I’ve finished the intro/forward/contextual essays in the front of the book. Finally ready to read the 1831 edition.

I’m asking anyone who has read it, is there any reason I shouldn’t read this aloud to an 8 year old?

Absolutely love how it turned out! Painted and printed by me! Modeled by Gambody

Frankie hanging out with his friends for Halloween! The Gill-man joined the crew yesterday. A welcomed addition to the collection.

My buddy and I watched the entire Monsters collection fresh one year ago and ranked the entire series one installment at a time. As far as the Frankenstein films go, they are clearly the best in the series and we placed most of them very high up in our list. We praised the hell out of the original, Bride, and Son. But then we got to Ghost and both of us agreed across the board that it's trash next to the previous installments.

However, folks continue to defend the hell out of Ghost and get a little angry at our analysis. That's fine but I'm genuinely curious, what's the appeal? The audience for these videos is predominantly 65+ so what I'm curious about is was there some element external to the film itself that is in the heads of the older generation that we aren't privy to? Is criticizing Lon Chaney Jr. tantamount to child sacrifice? Do us younger folks simply need brain transplants?

Please let us know because the movie simply reads as a 100 year old shameless cash grab. Anyway, here's the clip: https://youtu.be/KRqU0_h8JIo

Made in Procreate on my iPad using a photograph of Boris Karloff as a source.

For those who don't know, Wanderer Above the Sea of Fog is a painting by German Romanticist artist Caspar David Friedrich in 1818.

I don't really get why this painting is used as a cover not just for Frankenstein, but for Frankenstein spin-offs and other Mary Shelley works.

Maybe it represents Victor's trip to the Alps, but that's not a reason to be used as a way to represent Frankenstein.

Might try to get the DVD of this for Christmas

Finally found a good use for some of these high end German surgical tools I ended up with years ago, as well as the perfect repurpose for some just mail catalogs.

Made for me by my beautiful lady....

I’m definitely changing some of the proportions cause they’re bothering me, but rn this is basically a colored sketch. Just wanted to share my Ernest angst work in progress lol

entirely hand-painted by me! I had so much fun bringing her to life, especially with all the little details, from the weathered machinery and bloody skull to the scars, bandages, and replacing the power with working lights.

Definitely one of my favourite pieces I've worked on!Would love to hear what everyone thinks! 🖤Modeled by Ca3Dstudios!

Sooo…. What exactly happened? Did Mary just forget he existed halfway through the book and then suddenly remembered that he was still alive and wrote him back in? Did he go off to war or something since he wanted to be in the military and then came back and almost his whole family was dead?
I personally like to think that he and Victor had so horrible of a relationship that the creature just thought “Well obviously you don’t care about him. I guess I’ll leave him alone”. Honestly besides the fact that he’s still alive by the end of the book, there isn’t a lot of evidence for that little headcanon, but I find it a bit funny.
What do you guys think though?

This week on Hell’s #1 podcast, we interviewed Dr. Frankenstein and her adorable little monster (played by horror icons Dead Meat)!

I think it would be awesome if Jeremy Allen White played Gene Wilder in a version of 'Young Frankenstein!!"

But the way that reboots and sequels and stuff have been working,. I don't know if it's a good idea. He definitely said that he would be honored to play Willy Wonka, but how many Willy Wonka movies do we need? And don't get me wrong because it's one of my favorite stories. I like the original 'Charlie and the chocolate factory ' movie
