Trans femboy problems

Idk if this is allowed but I need a bit of support. So a lot of people in my life still perceive me as a girl but I want to be seen as a guy, I can't start transitioning yet as my family doesn't support me and I don't have the money or means and I am a minor still. I dress as masculine as possible but still get called a girl even by strangers and it's very hurtful. Most of my friends also usually only use they/them on me.. I want to be seen as a guy but still want to be feminine occasionally. I don't know if what I'm saying is making any sense but... I just don't really feel seen by anyone but my partner, even sometimes I don't feel seen by her but I know she's trying her best to support me with everything she has going on herself as a trans woman. I don't really have much of anyone to talk to so any support or help or advice would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

I feel that 100%. Wanting to be perceived as a femme guy and not a woman--huge difference & nuance there! You definitely need more supportive friends; I'd maybe talk to them about what you need from them to feel affirmed about your gender. You're still a minor, so I want to reassure you: it gets better. It really does. Hoping the best for you.

One, obligatory you do you and don't worry about what others think as long as you're comfortable in yourself. Two, in my experience, I was only ever gendered correctly if I made it a point to be masculine pre t. Every now and then maybe some light makeup, light jewelry, a floral shirt; but anything beyond that I felt like people just saw me as a girl with a pixie cut. It's only after I started T that I became more comfortable presenting feminine, and even with that I prob get gendered correctly like 60% of the time.

Your “friends” are misgendering you if you use he/him and not they/them, and you should find better friends. Even if you use both and they refuse to ever use he/him that’s still transphobic.

You’re totally not alone! Ever since figuring out I’m trans I’ve also been exploring my femininity more. Being a trans femboy is fun and you’ll fit right in here:)
Also, your friends using they/ them for you if you wanna be reffered to as he/him is rly shit!
