Is there a canon reason why mythos characters aren't in Fable? What's the distinction if they are both powered by belief?

Completely agree, many of the flawed characters from ancient mythology would be great additions to the Fables universe, particularly to explore the contrast of their morals against traditional Judeo-Christian values.
Odysseus was written as what we today would consider to be a murderer, adulterer and knave albeit a very intelligent and charming one! In Ancient Greece these were simply the traits of a contemporary heroic figure given the context within which these actions are presented.
