Q&A Melsoft Got Me Again

I made it to the last task of the last island set. I did the math. It’s going to take 41,056 in energy to complete. 20,528 IF I happen to get another booster before the day ends. I’ve redeemed all of the rewards given so far. All that’s left is the final two rewards (the gold chest at the end of tasks & the island reward) For me? That’s 8,500 energy — plus the extras 4 keys, 4each tools, 100 rubies, 20 beaver food. IF I happen to get a booster? I might jump back in. I can’t decide. Best case scenario, I’m down 12k energy after this task & island completion. Overall? I’m already down 19k playing this event cycle. So — I’d be down 31k energy all together. Reality is… I probably should not have started this last island set or even the one before it. What would you do?

You are calculating cost. That’s good. Calculate all potential rewards. Once the expense exceeds the gain stop. I stopped at 60% of the last island because proceeding would have meant a large loss of energy. Also, finishing the last island to get the joker meant very little since a new card game had just started. Knowing when to stop is hard. Actually stopping with 8 days left in the adventure is even harder.

That’s where Melsoft gets me — on the stop. I’m glad they didn’t throw out a booster after I posted this. The temptation was real.

I haven't played in, almost, 2 years. Had some downtime and decided to play again. I started with 410K energy, played and island a day (23/30 day event) and did not bother to wait for boosters (I wasn't planning on playing again after this round anyway). I did not play the bonus island, as I got the ruby one, which I hate. My grand total at the end was a whopping 142K energy.

So, yeah, they're definitely screwing the players.

When they still had the birdie tokens, each island I was slowly increasing my energy after completing. I was almost at 400k. But since then, each adventure I seem to be at a net loss. I’m down to just under 300k now. Eventually I’ll be down to zero. Not sure what I’ll do when that happens.
