I wrote several fanfics and I'm currently writing my own book. I'm against AI and it hurts me when people use it to write their books. Like, I mean... Don't. Just DON'T. It doesn't give you any benefits AT ALL.

But, though I don't accept it, I know why people are doing this with books.

BUT. WHY. FANFICTION?

You don't get money from it. Only thing you get is your own pride of yourself and some nice words from other fans. So why???

Fics are fundamentaly controdictions with AI. They grow from love and passion, they connect people. Most of fanfiction authors have zero or very small experience, but who cares? They always can improve and if you don't want to read their works, you just don't. AI don't have a passion, it doesn't feel. It don't know those characters. You can tell it about them, but it doesn't pass the test (lol sorry. I have this kind of parallel in my native language. Not sure if something like this exists in English).

What do you think about this? Can somone explain?

No joke it saved my life. I’ve been finding that tag for maybe for years. I didn’t know how to phrase it or word it in English, so all I’ve done is praying that someday I’ll encounter it in someone’s tag section, and now! This anger on earth brought it to me! Not any other fic but I met it in my own comment inbox! OMG the universe sent them to answer my prayer 😭😭😭 there is Amazing Grace playing in my head 😭

My favorite is 1st person, but I get nervous because maybe the audience might disagree with their characterization from hearing their inner monologue. Or just dislike 1st and prefer 3rd. I never really use 2nd person because it fits more of the y/n setting in fanfics and I don’t write to that. 3rd person just feels a bit disconnected to me; i honestly don’t think I’ve stepped out of 1st at any point in my story and it has to do with it being the beginning of the story. Right now I’m trying to show characters mental processes and behaviors.

But even then I use the characters voice to describe whatever’s going on instead of 3rd person. Whether it be setting or revealing an objective truth in the story I just use other characters to do it. For example, a royal character is insane and their 1st person POV is filled with delusions that don’t fit reality. So to show that I use a servants POV to reveal the truth instead of an omnipresent voice.

If you have a preference as a reader or writer why is it your preference? And if you like 1st as well, do you like being the voice in a certain characters head like I do? I think doing it makes me more interesting in my own story…lol

Hello everybody! I just posted chapter 3 of "If Tomorrow Finds Us" on Wattpat (I will be posting it on Ao3 as well once i got my Code) and I am already working on chapter 4, since honestly, i'm having SO much fun. I feel like my 12 year old self, writing fanfics about my shaylas. Anyway, what i had in mind for chapter 4, so you'll get a little taste, was:

- Jean avoiding Marco. He chooses different places to sit, finds excuses to leave conversations, yada yada. Bro is not as subtle as he think though.

-Marco noticing. Let's just say, Marco is a people pleaser and won't say anything at first, but it DOES hurt.

-A fresh cadet-training scene. Jean's gotta confront the fact that avoiding Marco isn't as easy as he thinks..

-A little tension between them. Because, we love that.

-A small but meaningful change. Jean doesn't understand his feelings yet. He does however have to decide whether he's willing to risk hurting Marco just because he doesn't understand himself.

Okay, so there's a younger sister 11 and older sister 17. They have a shitty parent situation. The older sister had promised the younger sister 2 years ago, that she would tell her about how their mom was cheating on their dad. The youbger sister was realky scared back then and had asked older sis what was goibg on. Older sis wanted to protect her and so told her that ill tell u when youre older. She thought youbger sis would forget about it by then. But of course, she didnt. So its the older sisters birthday. Younger sister is waiting all day long for her. She doesnt come home till its midnight, drunk as well. The parents have kinda given up on her so they didnt care. But the younger sis stayed up late so they could celebrate her birthday together.
But the older sis kinda messes up? Like she really loves her sister. Shed do anything to protect her from their parents, but she also kinda resents her. Because when she was born, that is when most of their parents fighting had started. Their mom wasnt able to conceive for long, and when she finally did, it was a girl again. Which her father wad not okay with. So he became a very angry man. He was bitter towards his wife, ignored both children and took his anger out on them.
The older sis knew it wasnt really the youngers fault but somewhere in her mind, her younger self did resent her.
I kind of want that to come out of her while shes drunk. But in a way that shows she used to resent her and hate her but not anymorw. But the younger only understands that she kinda ruined the family.
I really dont know how to go by thia conversation. Its very vital to the story, but i just dont know how to write it. Any help and advice is well appreciated.

For me I gave Mao Mao a job at a Halloween store for my CN City AU, I was inspired by SmokeeBee on YouTube who made a video about their experience as a Spirit Halloween employee. Mao Mao I thought would be funny to be in a similar position since he's already a black cat and I feel he'd hate having a mundane job the most out of everyone on this team.

Do you ever just want to read fanfiction where its just an all out slug fest featuring your favorite character?

Me too.

That's why I wanted to get some opinions on it. I use to write these types of stories in my youth, thinking about how cool it is for these character to fight each other.

While I have other suggestions for some other fights, like Apocalypse vs. Doomsday or Xenomorphs fight Godzilla, these are what I could come up at the spur of the moment. I might write them all or use a few stories but let's see where things go!
