I started charging families for 30-minute lamb-feeding visits at our farm

My family has a small farm with a few sheep, and I usually help out on weekends with feeding and cleaning their pens. During lambing season, we sometimes get families stopping by to look at the baby lambs, especially those with younger kids. I noticed the kids would spend more time watching the lambs eat than doing anything else, so I wondered if parents would pay for a short, hands-on visit instead of just looking at the animals from outside. I asked my family if I could try organizing a few sessions, and we agreed on $12 per child for 30 minutes, including supervised feeding and time to take pictures.
I posted the offer in a local parents' Facebook group and opened four spots for Saturday morning. Only two kids booked the first weekend, so I made $24 before expenses. It wasn't much, but both families stayed for the full session, and one parent asked if I would offer it again the following weekend. I adjusted the booking times so families wouldn't arrive all at once and prepared the feeding supplies ahead of each visit. The next Saturday, five kids booked, bringing in $60 before expenses. I'm keeping the sessions small for now because the lambs need to stay comfortable around visitors, but it's been a nice way to earn a little money from something we already do on the farm.
