Discussion Watchers or In Cart?
On eBay which would you rather have? 10 watchers or 10 people with item in their cart? Neither is a sale but which one do you think will actually convert and why?

In cart, no question. Watchers just like the idea of owning it but people who add to cart are one click away from checkout. I've had stuff sit with 20+ watchers for months while in cart items usually move within a couple days

I'm one of the in cart folks. Just waiting to get to a computer to see if Microsoft or Rakuten will give me more cash back for the transaction.

In cart as they are indeed window shopping, but better chance to convert due to shopping impulses.
Watchers are just competitors, looky loos, and window shoppers that forget they were watching.

Watchers are other sellers or people who like telling themselves they're going to buy it but never do and then get pissed at themselves when it sells. In cart are people who are more serious but are waiting for a price drop notification.

The only way to see "in _ carts" is to open my own listing page which I never do on purpose. So I have no idea how many carts my items end up in. Maybe it's zero or maybe a ton with no purchase

carts, its not close. watchers clicked a heart and forgot the listing exists by tuesday, and half of them are other sellers checking what yours goes for anyway.

Watchers are often another seller seeing how your item does.
