I agree. The flyers atmosphere is fucked..at least put them in a place where they can see what it's like to score, and win, and play well, and build chemistry, and enjoy what they are doing.

Should probably wait longer than 6 AHL games to be saying this ... but he has looked good so far down there and has 12 pts in last 12 AHL games which is quite good.

This. 100% this. Luchanko needs to learn to be a little more selfish and doing that at the AHL level is better than being exposed at the NHL level. Let him and Knuble just cook all year worth the Phantoms.

The other take away from the season has been how quietly well Spencer Gill has been playing.

i said all summer phantoms were gonna be must watch hockey. jetts over a PPG bumps over a PPG gaucher over, all without bonker and jiricek and barkey. flyers can shit the whole jc penny pants aisle this year but it wont be because the kids cant play.

Perhaps. He's currently mimicing Toccs system in order to ensure that the players don't have relearn a system when called up. I would love to see him untethered to that system when Tocc is fired to see what he can do. I have really enjoyed listening to him in interviews and he's done a terrific job with prepping the youngsters.
