I believe in coach taco and I think he should have at least this season

Can’t wait to get shafted and they pick BPA in one of those wingers

u/BobBobson3994 15h ago
Drafting BPA wouldn’t be the worst thing though. We desperately need a center and can flip that player for one.

Let's say this happens.
Do we think Tocc actually gives ice time to any of these guys?

If we end up with 1OA and he lasts the season, I sincerely doubt he'd last the offseason.
This org doesn't want to eat his salary for sure, but going from the playoffs and a standing ovation after a 2nd round of getting swept to 1OA would almost certainly be enough to get Comcast to decide that it'd cost them more to keep him around in terms of lost revenue from fan engagement.
Now whether any replacement would develop players well remains to be seen.

Im a on the fence about Nazar. I like carter Meyer if not nazar.. another good russian could be very helpful for getting the most out of 39

u/Embykinks 13h ago
They would 100% take Meyer over Privalov for the same reason that everyone in the front office has their jobs.

I just learned that Meyer is Freddy Meyer’s son. The Freddy Meyer trade jumpstarted the rebuild in 2006/07

I remember being so angry when they traded him for Zhitnik because it was such a Bobby Clarke move and I thought Homer was going to be different. Then they traded Zhitnik straight up for Coburn. Knew after Coburn’s first game he was going to be a part of the future

I like any of those top 4, so maybe it would be better if the Flyers get 2 of those and they don’t necessarily select given their awful track record.

What are our thoughts on Privalov vs Joseph?

From what I have read Joseph is a very divisive prospect. People are pretty down on him for a weak hlinka showing. I have even seen people have him out of the top 10 on early rankings. Still a ton of hockey to be played tho, maybe he rebuilds his stock.
Personally I am high on Neuenschwander as maybe the best C, but it’s not clear there is a 1C in this draft. Maybe one of the Russians but they aren’t exactly getting a lot of ice time or playing big roles right now

I’ve seen this as well
Joseph is trending downwards
Wouldn’t be surprised if he was available with the Toronto pick (even if they didn’t end up moving 10 spots)
Really a make a break year for his draft value

Landing DuPont and one of these centers would be an absolute dream scenario.

It’s Landon.

Idk if you're joking but he meant landing as in acquiring

Very divisive prospect sounds a like a textbook flyers pick

Or it really sets the table for them to reach down the board for some safe try-hard instead of taking him, should he be the best option at our spot.

u/Embykinks 13h ago
He’s gotta be either a really bad skater or a really good skater that isn’t good at anything else
2
u/Relative-Gas-1721 11h ago
Every flyers prospect:
Good speed but a terrible skater.
Great vision but questions about hockey IQ
Undersized yet lumbering
Excellent playmaker with limited offensive upside
Projection: Middle six winger1
u/TheEnormusPenis 13h ago
A lot of people are cooling on Joseph right now. Everyone around him has caught up physically a bit and he's looked much worse.

Genuinely my only fear is getting the top 2 picks, only to absolutely tank the development of our young guys who would in theory be the supporting cast of our contention window.

u/Guilty_Goal_7888 8h ago
We can go back to giving a shit next year we kinda been doing tank a year try a year under danny I cant tell if its a terrible strategy or not tho
