Arch pain

I recently did something to my right foot in a ballet class. I’m 79 and fit. I walk and do yoga regularly.
Went to a walk in clinic got X-rays. They said it was due to arthritis in my toe joints and gave me metatarsal pads.
Well it’s not getting better and the pain is in my arch when I walk not in metatarsal area. Do I need to get an MRI or second opinion ? Any advice?

not a doctor, but since it started with something specific in class and the pain is now in your arch, not where they looked, a second opinion makes sense. x-rays mostly show bone, so a strained tendon or ligament in the arch can look totally normal on them. a podiatrist or sports physio can press around, watch you walk and decide if an mri is even needed. till then i'd go easy on whatever brings it on

Take the second opinion from podiatrist and ankle specialist sine the pain is not improving and is in different area than what they treated
