Where are we at?

Howdy! Where are all the 19-23 year olds?? Been trying to find 3rd spaces and hang out with people IRL but as an alternative individual its kinda impossible! Lonestar is closed down, Caseys burned down, Condill was condemned, and no im really not interested in spending 200+$ to go the the North Pole, thanks. Most Karaoke places are country as *fuck*; even Boston pizza has gotten so quiet socially and going out to bars is so clique-y!

Can any older people chime in and let me know if FSJ just sucks for the alternative folk/if bars were never like the movies and if youre young, go touch some grass and city lights, Ill meet you there.

A board game cafe is supposed to be opening in town this month with the goal of being that third space you talk about

Sweet soul pizza has a good board game space, but it's more like, go with a friend not meet strangers and play.

I tried visiting the DnD/War hammer store but unfortunately there were some pretty sketchy people at the (i assume public) table and I was too nervous to say hello. Seems like us youngins are kinda stranded lol

Warhammer people are scary I get it lmao. There's also a DnD day at the library every couple weeks I think? The FSJPL website should be able to help if you wanna get into some nerd hobbies

Might not be your thing, but the local pride society does a beer (optional) and games once a month , usually at olio’s or mighty peace

Ive gone a couple times but I dont feel welcome. Im very social but everyone only relates about being anxious or disliking gatherings at an active gathering. Its disheartening lol tho thankyou for mentioning!

The breweries aren't bad. I used to spend a lot of time at Beards and was friendly with all the regulars a few years ago. Went back this year when I was in town again and the atmosphere felt different though, was a little sad. Mighty Peace is nice

I'm an indoors human with 5 friends I can stand, haha. We do game and movie nights, and sometimes they go outside (hiking, the gym) but my disabled ass is not fit for such things.
