Is this a fossil
I went to my cousin's village, That area is on the hills and there are beautiful valleys all around. A small stream emerges from there and flows between the rocks. We were bathing in that river when I noticed some strange rocks on the river bank.Round stones are emerging from this tough rocky layer like fossils. I went there 3 months ago , And today when I checked the photos in my mobile, I remembered Does anyone know anything related to this? , Are these nodules or fossils or just oval rocks? , There are a lot of these around that river.

There is nothing in this photo that makes me think there’s a fossil and a couple of things that make me think it’s not. May just be the photo, though.

Yeah, I just don’t see anything to suggest it’s a fossil. It looks cool though.

Looks like concretions. Could have fossils in them if you crack them open but not fossils by themselves.

What exactly do you think could be a fossil, and do you have close up or high quality photos of the texture?

Nope...it isn't fossil... It's a weathering feature called spheroidal weathering You seem to be hiking in Sahyadris...they are made up of basaltic rock...which flow by forming pillows...and the weathering of that gives spheroidal shape
