It's kind of scary how even "femboys" and hyper-feminine men on Reddit have such a huge misogyny problem
I'm a femme-presenting guy myself and I'm not proud to admit it, but I once fell down an alt-right pipeline, visiting a lot of toxic crossdresser/femboy subreddits. They were full of self-identified femboys straight out of 4chan and other toxic online communities. They talked a lot about experiences I could relate to, like how differently they're treated by women when they're femme-presenting versus how they're masc-presenting, how women who clock them as female sometimes act friendly towards them, then act suspicious/cold if when they clock them as male, etc. How other people would sometimes harass and even beat them up because they're feminine and like to crossdress, but women can wear men's clothes and no one cares.
These are all things I could relate to and I fell down a rabbit hole hard that took me years to dig myself out of. Now I look back at it and just think it's extremely depressing how even guys who are feminine, crossdressers, etc. still have that entitlement of blaming women for all their problems. How the reason they're perceived differently depending on their presentation is rooted in women's justified fear of dudes instead of women just being misandrists for no reason.
Even though I still feel bad for how I treated a lot of women in my life during that time, I'm so glad I pulled myself out of that lifestyle and have fostered fulfilling female friendships with women in my life. I don't think I'll ever be treated as closely as they treat their other female friends because I'm a dude, and that sucks, but we can still talk about things like women's fashion, make-up, etc. and I can enjoy their companionship without feeling resentment over the issues other men cause. Like, all the alt-right femme guys I know are bitter that they can't talk about girly things with women because they're men. The truth is the problem is THEM and them feeling entitled to women's friendships/relationships because they're not a typical masc man.
I wish I could tell all my sexist femme guy/crossdresser buddies that men are responsible for all their problems, whether you're a femme guy or otherwise.
Why do men get harsher sentences for the same crime compared to women? Because of male judges.
Why do only men have to register for the draft in most countries? Because of male politicians.
Why are femme guys not given the same trust and warmth by women compared to other women? Because of male stalkers and abusers.
I just wish I found this out sooner for myself.
