I am a Colombian who grew up fascinated by the history of France. It is a nation that drove great advancements in technology, science, culture, and gastronomy. Needless to say, I am sad and disgusted to see how France is being destroyed as a direct result of immigration. Seeing the protests, it is clear that those driving the violence are the immigrants or sons of immigrants. I don’t know how you all can justify keeping people who hate your country inside of it.
And don’t start with the usual “colonialism” excuse. That whole narrative is complete BS. France’s colonial past does not give anyone the right to import chaos, reject French values, burn cars, attack police, or wave foreign flags while demanding the host country change for them. Plenty of countries were never colonized by France and still have their own problems; using history as a perpetual guilt trip to justify open borders and failed integration is just intellectual dishonesty.
I was also disgusted to see so many Palestine flags being waved across France. Why do the French allow this? Why tolerating open displays of foreign nationalism and, in many cases, open hostility toward French society, French culture, and the French Republic itself? France is not a hotel or a neutral stage for other people’s conflicts. It is a country with its own history, identity, and right to decide who belongs and under what conditions.
Mass immigration from incompatible cultures, combined with failed integration and a political class that prioritizes virtue-signaling over security and social cohesion, has produced exactly the results we are seeing: no-go zones, recurring riots, rising antisemitism, and public spaces filled with flags and slogans that have nothing to do with France. This isn’t “enrichment.” It’s the gradual erasure of what made France unique.
I say this as an outsider who loves what France was. If the French people don’t start enforcing their borders, deporting those who reject the country, and prioritizing their own citizens, the France of Voltaire, Pasteur, and the Enlightenment will keep shrinking until there’s little left worth defending.
