Frank has posted multiple photos and videos of him in the studio since Coachella

sounds like he's saying he had a change of heart about his public presence around then, not that he hasn't been in the studio since then

“he’s not been in da studio in a long time” we’ve seen pictures of frank in the studio this year

u/alex17sosa 4d ago
did you actually read it?

u/vektorog 4d ago

"he's not been in da studio in a long time... Especially after coachella..." What this look like too u?
1
u/vektorog 4d ago
well there's a period before that, which tells me the "especially" is meant for the part about his media presence
look at us man. we're STARVING for frank content if this is the argument we're having

because you are saying “it sounds like ____” when it explicitly says otherwise in the post.

Brent and Frank have kinda split since Coachella, I doubt he’s a great source. Although I do agree respecting privacy and expecting nothing should still be established

Is that public knowledge ?

u/Curious-Scene-250 5d ago
There are numerous articles about how they are “willing to work together again in the future”, I doubt the information in the post is false but rather dated. Brent is probably referring to the last time him and Frank spoke, which seems a while ago considering the claims are contradictory: He has been in the studio, as seen by his many posts in it since Coachella.
Although I do believe his claims were true for 2023.

I’m a bit surprised people are even taking what this guy says at face value, it’s a bit odd that an agent would discuss the whereabouts of one of their (former?) clients who he also claims to be enjoying his privacy.
Unless this person in the post is a known industry insider, I wouldn’t even take what the person is saying

The post about FRanks ex manager Wendi Morris memoir coming called "American Mutt" will hopefully give us an inside look at Franks world, the Blonde, Endless, Boys Dont Cry creative process and era. It will prob be our next thing before he releases anything his damn self (painful!) lol

But the commenter in the post, “Gael Morales” do they have some association with the memoir ?

im so exhausted of ppl trying to figure out where he is and what he’s doing, guys just accept we r not going to get music any sooner, if he does want to release smth, good, if not yall should have alr made peace w that a really long time ago. grief takes a lot of time and even if hes not actively grieving anymore an artist can decide whether he wants to stay out of media and try to live privately

u/pumapunku7567 5d ago
exactly, social media an celebrity culture got ppl needing to know every little detail of someones life, like it would be amazing to get another album or a couple of singles from him, but if its not gonna happen its not gonna happen

anyone who keeps up with Frank's stories know this is totally bogus, the man himself posts himself in the studio every year 😭

lol i mean, snippets after coachella, pictures in the studio posted on the homer account, pharell saying Frank is always cooking, ASAP saying Frank is "about to drop soon" (i doubt he'll drop anytime, but I don't doubt he's been in the studio) picture in the studio wearing marty supreme jacket taken by Chalamet. he also doesn't just record exclusively in studios, he records on the go, in hotels... probably wherever he's living at, too. maybe he hasn't recorded much this year, that's maybe what the guy means by a long time... but I doubt he's just been inactive since Coachella
not wanting to be in the Media, is the only thing that makes sense about this. but I doubt Frank is giving his "agent" conistent life updates, maybe his "agent" just doesn't have much contact with him anymore, but you know how LA is, people love to sound important, so he's just making shit up and drawing his own conclusions on his absence. take whatever this random guy claims that this agent said, with a grain of salt.
now what I do believe is, no music dropping anytime, I do believe he's quasi-retired. but I do believe his vault is insane and I believe he's always recording. and maybe just out of the blue he'll change his mind and decide he wants to release something, in the distant future, like D'Angelo (RIP) or leave his discography as is like Lauryn Hill

Even if he was in the studio everyday, does it matter if nothing ever comes out?

bruh artists have no obligation towards their fans. specially frank who plays by his own rules. be happy for the masterpieces he’s already done

u/Painter_Man64 4d ago
I’m leaning that way too. To not even acknowledge the 10th anniversary as such a fuck you to the fans that have placed him where he is. Happy to grab the $ for excessively priced LPs but not willing to say a word.
Such a talented man pissing it away.

Eh. Brent is his booking agent, iirc. He’s handled live shows and tours, not scheduling studio time like a manager or assistant. Idk if they’ve worked together recently because Frank hasn’t performed since Coachella. He has definitely recorded music since then, while juggling other projects. But I agree with their sentiment regarding his privacy
