Rush Advice How do I make a good impression during my interview?
I’m rushing a coed pre health frat at UCI and my interview is coming up. Idk how professional or silly it’s gonna be; might ask some actives about it. Like would it be weird if I shook each person’s hand when I came in and greet each person, like by name? Should I just chill and sit down and be normal? Do I bring something? I dont even know how it works. pls send advice idk anything abt frats
edit: i got a bid everyone :P

If you’re speaking of the honor society ones they are not like a typical fraternity. They are just that an honor society not really for parties. Once you get to med school they will be exactly like fraternities on Greek row. So if you want the typical experience join an IFC fraternity or wait until med school.

This sub is for social fraternities, so pretty different from professional Greek orgs.
Anyway, I wasn’t in a professional org and I don’t know the culture of the specific one you’re joining, but I’d treat it like a job interview with a slightly more lighthearted tone. You’re going to want to show them why you’d be a strong member. Handshake depending on how professional the setting is. I don’t think you need to bring something.
Good luck

Depends. Do you wanna be the funny guy, if so bring an Editable Arrangement. Wanna impress bring a nice bottle of scotch. Wanna just be seen as one of the guys, bring beer and donuts.

Not trying to sound corny, but truly just being yourself. These guys just want to know you, that’s it. You don’t need to sound like some fake ‘perfect pre-health student’

/u/WatercressOld759 Read this whole thing.
The Rush Advice flair is only for PNMs/rushes seeking advice. If you aren't a rush, please change the flair to something else.
if you are a rush (interested in joining a fraternity), PUT THE SCHOOL NAME in the post.
Or at least describe the school. Examples: Large Big Ten school, medium sized northern D2 school, small west coast school" etc. Any descriptions help.
The post flair MUST be "Rush Advice" instead of "Question" or "Serious". We need to know which school it is because rush varies wildly by school.
To everyone else: Report the post if it's a dumb post or the wrong flair or no school is mentioned, and we'll remove it. Thanks.
