Looking for media Does anyone have recommendations for SMALL French indie music creators?
I’m looking for artists with less than 10k monthly listeners, as my Spotify algorithm barely recommends me creators with under 50k. I’ve found it really hard to get into the lesser known french indie scene but thought y’all might know some artists.

I've been going down this exact rabbit hole. Two things that actually worked for me: browsing the lineups of Les Trans Musicales de Rennes (lots of tiny French acts play there before anyone's heard of them), and picking one small artist I already like on Spotify and clicking through 'fans also like' until I end up somewhere obscure. That's how I found Chilly Pom Pom Pee — I think they're a pretty small French coldwave duo, dark and synthy. What kind of indie are you into? I might have more depending on the vibe.

Maybe you could try CXK. I don't know what you like exactly but they're from Toulouse and they sound awesome. They sing in Occitan, not in French, which gives them even more personality. Their last album is fire. It was actually produced by Steve Albini.
And no, I don't know them, I just thought you might enjoy, lol.

Check out the label La Souterraine:

Big collection of indie French music, always in French. They put out a lot of collections / samplers which are a great way to taste test their catalog.
