4070Ti still has some solid legs on it. I'm running a 2080 that I coughed up for thinking it was good future proofing. Picked the worst gen to upgrade in and have been hesitant to buy since and waited long enough that AI destroyed being a basic consumer in this market.

my 4070ti is totally fine, i can run 99.999% of titles out there on ultra graphics or get insane framerates in whatever title i want, i really can't complain

but on the schedule i used to live by, right about now is when i'd be considering another upgrade (necessary or not)

The entire 40xx line is quite good. I would 100% buy 4090s for as much as $3000ish if they were still for sale.

The 5090 is better than the 4090, no doubt, but it's not TWICE as good or 3X as good. At $7000-$10,000 it's priced that way.

Solid legs? It's 100% the best bang for the buck on the whole market right now. 2x framegen at an affordable price, and can handle any modern game 2k 120fps or 4k 60fps easy. Won't be any reason to upgrade unless you really want the 4x framegen from a 5070. But 2x is the sweet spot with input lag.

That would be what i meant by "solid legs" yes. Not sure why you're questioning that as if i said "it wont last much longer" or something lol.
