Wedding bands go on left hand because human's hearts are on the left side, and it was once believed there was a vein or something that went from the ring finger straight to the heart.
Since Gardevoir's heart is perfectly in the center, and they have different hand shapes, I can see why it wouldn't apply to them?

Happy cake day :3
Wedding rings are supposed to go on the left hand? Why? What's wrong with the right?

Closer to the side with your heart.

u/PotatoLord500 Aug 21 '26
Ok? So does society see it as taboo if you want to wear your wedding ring on your right hand?
3
u/LordVulpix Aug 21 '26
No it's not seen as Taboo, it just won't instantly be recognized as a wedding band. It's traditional in western countries though so some may wear them on their right. I knew a woman who hated wearing rings so her wedding ring was on a necklace.

I am making a story regarding a Gardevoir and her trainer marrying. I am making the Mega Stone a Wedding Ring!

There really is a gooner sub for every character out there huh.

Honestly it’s kind of frustrating
I don’t mind people having their waifus and stuff but as someone who very strongly gravitates towards female and feminine characters I’m tired of every fucking sub dedicated to them being all about wife posting, this sub has a pretty decent mix but so many lean very heavily one way or the other

No, just for the rest of the Gardevoir’s life.
Closest thing to compare to I could think of was chimpanzees:
For chimpanzees in captivity the mean life expectancy is only 32.5 years for males and 40.1 years for females.

Bruh you beat me to it. Pokemon lifespans should not be compared to real Animals.
And even if you do... There are animals that live for more than 5 times the lifespan of humans.

"Gardevoir is a Chimpanzee" is probably the dumbest thing I've ever seen posted on this sub. You really tried to seem smart, didn't you? Damn.

Pokemon lifespans are not the same as Animal lifespans
In Sun and Moon Kiawe used a Charizard that belonged to his grandfather when he (his grandfather) was a child, And that Charizard was not showing any signs of being old and felt like he was in the prime of his life (Kiawe's grandfather had passed away by this point btw)
