You can’t attach images here, only videos, so I have to convert the image to mp4. And Reddit displays videos with no sound as gifs

I recall seeing this posted years ago, them being girlfriends while highlighting the difference between fantasy elves and folklore elves is actually the entire point of this series and where its wholesome comedy comes from.

No children asked for wooden trains? That’s what Thomas the Tank Engine toys basically were and those were asked for by the millions!
Now they were much smaller of course, but I’d not personally have turned away a jumbo model

Ive always been under the impression Christmas Elves are more closet related to Gremlins than actual Elves

No joke when I first read the hobbit as a child, Santa’s elves were the only elves I knew so every sequence with elves I pictured short statured Santa elves and was so confused as to why elves were such a favourite fantasy race.

God the part where they visit the elves would've been so fucking awkward for Gandalf, everyone else in the room is 2-4 feet tall and he's solidly over 6 feet

Gandalf was actually around 5'6" in the books, and Ian McKellen is only 5'11"

I feel like they were definitely trying to make Gandalf look taller in the movies, but that might just be because a lot of the perspective characters are short

They were, there are some shots where Gandalf is actually played by like a 7' tall guy. Jackson's Gandalf is definitely taller than book Gandalf but I do think a lot of that is for the perspective difference with the Hobbits

now consider this: Santa doesn't know that there's more than one kind of elf and tells her to get to work. now the high elf is wearing a silly tiny christmas costume, and the santa's elf is her boss.
i'm saying this because everybody's assuming the high elf would be more dominant. us tall girls deserve to be submissive too!

I've never seen a High Elf designed like the one of the left unless its porn.

If it's supposed to be a High Elf, why isn't it androgynous? That's clearly a human with pointy ears.

the high elf insults her for an hour and the santa elf just goes konk konk and doesn't hear a word

To be clear, both are high elves, just two different kinds of high.
The one on the left smokes weed, she just gets real sour when she's sober.
