I would say mid eighties, they are "genoese" cards (very much alike to Belgian traditional cards, they are telling me)

I'd say late 80s/early 90s.

Gente was a popular magazine around that time, also the golden age for random freebies in many magazines.

The cards are a regional variety not used outside Liguria and lower Piedmont. Either part of a "cards of Italy" collection or localised gifts (unlikely due to costs)
