Trivia I made Tiled, a daily geography trivia game

https://www.tiledgame.app

Hi all! Im a big fan of board games, geography, and daily trivia games like Wordle, so I decided to throw my own into the mix!

Tiled is a geography based trivia game with daily new questions. You get a new game card to play every day that contains three new questions with different categories. Your goal is to work out the answer to the question and then find the tile on the map that contains your answer. You get six guesses per question, and each guess will give you feedback as to how close you are to the answer tile. Once complete you can share your results with friends and see global stats for the days questions.

Tiled is an entirely free game. I'd love if people would try it out and give any feedback, both good and bad are welcome! I'm curious to hear if the questions are too easy or too hard.

Cheers! πŸ˜€

I really appreciate you taking the time to play, thank you and I'm glad you enjoyed it ☺️

Also super helpful feedback that it was easy to play and the difficulty was just right, I always worry the questions will be too easy or impossible, great to know they're somewhere in the middle. Thanks again!

Love it already. I just miss some indication for the yellow tiles - am I five tiles away or just two?

Thank you so much for taking time to play and for the kind words!

Thanks for the feedback, yellow is 2-4 tiles away depending on the shade. But I tried to keep the guess feedback a bit vague atm, as I thought if I told people exactly how many tiles away they were it might get a bit too easy? But maybe it's not, do you think it's worth signalling how many tiles away each colour is?

It would help me a lot, tbh. I am not sure I am the typical player.

Oh, and I would love an extra colour when I am a whole continent away! One picture I was so certain it was in Asia when it was in Peru

Hey, you're a fan of trivia and geography, you are my target fan πŸ˜€

That's really useful feedback, thank you! Maybe I'll change it so that when you get within a certain amount of tiles, it tells you how close you are, but if you're far away, it just tells you you're nowhere near. I'll have a think what's the best solution, thanks again!

It'd help, but I think it'd ruin the fun. Keeping it obscure forces you to rethink. For example I guessed the largest cemetery might be in Russia but because I had to rethink, I tried the middle East. If my first guess gave me the number of tiles in distance, my only thinking would have been my first placement then it'd just be random guessing within that radius.Β
