Dude, I love “Drugstore Perfume”. If you’ve never listened to Suede (or “The London Suede”, as they’re branded in USA), I highly recommend checking them out. “Drugstore Perfume” always reminds me of one of their B-sides (the compilation “Sci-Fi Lullabies” features nothing but their B-sides). They’ve been a favorite of mine since their first album was new in 1993, and G solo/MCR always hits for me because they scratch a similar itch.

If we're talking Hesitant Alien it's How it's going to be! It has such a lovely rhythm and is just so upbeat 🤩 If it's his entire portfolio I think it's "Into the Cave we wander" , it's so different and ethereal, his voice is so sweet and the mood is so retro and cosy. His cover of Waly Waly is great too but he didn't write that so not sure if that counts.

"Into the Cave We Wander" is one of my favorite songs ever. I like to listen to it when I'm taking a break at work and just walking around and it makes even the most boring, unscenic walk feel like an adventure.

Dasher
People never mention it, but it’s just so sweet and precious. It sounds like an angel wrote it, he brought out such softness during his solo career. Also, if you’ve never come across his rendition of the water is wide (I don’t think it’s even on Spotify, only on YouTube), go listen to it, it’s the definition of ethereal

I cannot thank you enough for reminding me of The Water is Wide. I can't believe I had forgotten about it in the first place, so beautiful

Stuck between Don't Try, Drugstore Perfume, Baby you're a Haunted House... But probably I'd end up picking Phoning it in! It's so simple and catchy!

From Hesitant Alien, Juarez, The Bureau and Zero Zero have always been my faves, but to be fair the entire stretch from The Bureau to Juarez is fantastic. I still like the rest of the album but these first seven songs really hit. Outside of the album, I absolutely love Baby You’re A Haunted House and have been listening to it a lot lately
